The moment the Ghost Marauder landed in the baron waste lands of Dathomir, Crosshair felt something resembling confidence rise in his chest, fight through the nerves to have overcome him, through the short journey from Kamino to Dathomir. Yet he also felt hopeful for what could be. For so long he had dreamed of this moment. Hoping one day it would happen and he would finally be where he wanted to be. Now it was happening, it felt almost surreal to the sniper, as if someone was playing a mean trick on him, and would reveal themselves to him before he could hold (Y/N) again. Yet that didn't happen when he left the silver ship, nor did it happen as he followed Wolffe, Rex and Howzer towards the ruins of a temple. Instead his heart raced at the impending reunion. As he allowed himself to finally accept it was real and not just to vivid dream or another cruel way the empire had to test and torment him.
His mind had been racing with questions when the group of four entered the temple ruins. He'd wondered why they were even heading towards the derelict building, but hadn't gotten the chance to voice those questions. As the moment he had followed Wolffe, Rex and Howzer through the cracked stone arch, he felt his breath hitch in his throat. There, just a short distance away stood (Y/N), clad in black robes, as she had been when he last seen her. Her hair longer but still decorated with silver beads and braids. She was thinner than he remembered, with her was Maul, he care and love for (Y/N) clearly on display, as if he was no longer afraid to show what had made him so powerful over the years. As if he had slowly began to move away from his Sith roots and find who he was outside of it.
Yet soon enough, Maul glanced in their direction. No words escaped him as he gestured towards them, as if playing his part in the long awaited reunion. (Y/N) had turned in confusion, a soft grin coming to her lips, to see the three whom had left on a self given mission had returned. Wolffe had stepped aside shortly after being welcomed back, revealing Crosshair there. Almost instantly tears appeared in (Y/N)'s eyes, slowly she stepped closer to the sniper. As if unsure if he really was there, or just her mind playing another cruel prank on her. Slowly she reached out to him, feel the cold plastoid armor against her soft hands, without hesitation Crosshair pulled her closer to him, the force of which sending them both backwards into a near by wall. The two seemingly becoming one.
"One down. Five to go" calmly spoke Maul, his voice barely above a whisper. It being clearly he didn't want to disturb the pair, just as he could see the love there was real, something he knew was a type of power his former master knew very little of. The moment Maul's words left his lips, Wolffe turned to him in confusion, quickly realizing he was missing something. After all he was the only one not to have met Omega. "The remaining four members of Clone Force 99 and the girl to be with them. My former master may not have realized it, but the child will become a beckon of hope as (Y/N) is now" explained Maul, slowly revealing some of the things the force had shown him, before the war had ended. Yet only now did he truly question how much (Y/N) actually knew, how much she realized she knew. Or if she realized who Darth Vader truly was.
"Omega's force sensitive" came a soft voice from the wall, where Crosshair and (Y/N) had collapsed into one. (Y/N) had spoken, recalling she had been questioned on that by Mas Amedda, the emperor's right hand man. Yet she had kept quiet, knowing by doing so she was protecting the innocent girl from a worse fate than the one the Kaminoans wanted her for. Knowing the longer she kept quiet, the more likely Omega had the chance to be free and live, rather than become apart of a science experiment to create more clones like her, just in Palpatine's form. "I first sensed it on Kamino, I actually believed my senses had been frazzled from the purge, but when I sensed it again after the empire announcement, I knew it wasn't just me. Master Yoda also confirmed it" explained (Y/N), revealing when she had sensed it, although keeping quiet on the call she had heard through the force, a soft singing or whistling, yet she had only heard it when Omega was around.
"What about the other clones within the empire?" asked Crosshair, wondering what would happen to them now. If they would work to free them too or leave them to their fate. Yet the moment he looked around the group from his spot on the floor, still holding on to (Y/N), he knew something was already in the works for the rest of the clones. Almost instantly he found himself wanting to help, even more so if it meant bringing an end to the empire, or at least throwing them a hand that proved they weren't as invincible as they believed.
"They plan an instrumental role. If they choose to leave the empire, then I will find somewhere for them to go" started Maul, his voice soft as it always was when he was in the presence of his daughter. Even when his mind centered itself on revenge against those whom wronged him. Kenobi and the Emperor his former master. "But if they choose to stay then they have been given instructions, that will help in the eventual fight against the empire" added Maul, recalling when (Y/N) had told him about the plan and the future with the Rebellion, the fight for freedom. How she had simply offered clones who stayed within the empire, an alternative way of still helping to bring down the tyrannical rulers. Just by training the future soldiers they seen as special. Just as she made it clear those who chose to stay within the imperial ranks were just as important, if not more so than those who openly chose to stand against the imperial reign.
"The Clone Wars maybe over, but the Civil War is coming" commented (Y/N), knowing the Civil War would not end the same way the Clone Wars had. Instead of being a game of chest for the Emperor's entertainment, it would be an actual war, one where the prize to be won would be freedom and hope would be the weapon of choice. A war that would finally see what had been taken away restored, and see the clones for the heroes they truly were. Just as she knew it would also prove Padme's final words right. There's good in him.
