Haru washes his hands and starts walking to his room. Just about to pass by his brother's room, he sees him playing a racing game on his PC. He steps in the room to see exactly which game he is playing. He does not recognize the game so asks his brother. His brother tells him that its a new game called FH5. He asks him to let him play sometime. His brother nods and he walks out of there to his room.
Haru woke up and realized, he was having a dream.
Haru is an eighteen year old high school boy with black hair who lives in a town called Shimoda with his mom. Haru's father is out of town because of his work and comes home every weekend to his family.
After few days, in the evening he was reading a novel. In between, he went to pee, washed his hands, was walking towards his room, saw his brother playing a racing game, went to him, asked him about the game. As his brother answered FH5 he realized, he is having a déjà vu. He walked out of there surprised as he remembered the dream. He was shocked.
Next day in school, he told about the incident to his bestfriend, Tsuki.
Tsuki is a nineteen year old boy with fade brown hair who lives in same town and studies in same school as Haru and is his childhood bestfriend.
As Tsuki heard what Haru told him, he noded and told Haru that he just had a precognitive dream. When Haru asked its meaning he told him that it is a dream which shows people glimpse of future and same exact thing happens after sometime. Haru was surprised as he thought it to be an odd coincidence.
After some days he saw himself in a dream fixing his cousin brother's cycle. He lost a bolt from the cycle and found it just outside his house garage. He woke up and that day after lunch, his brother asked him to fix his cycle. He was a little surprised and told his brother that he saw him in his dream previous night, fixing the cycle. As Haru was fixing his brother's cycle, just like dream he lost a bolt from the cycle. He didn't looked for it anywhere and decided to go outside the garage just like dream. As he reached there, he got surprised as he saw the missing bolt there just like he saw in the dream. He rushed to his phone and called Tsuki and told him everything.
Tsuki also got surprised and said, "Again? One more precognitive dream? Ok lets assume this was also a coincidence. Now, if this thing happens third time, we need to figure out something. There has to be some meaning to this. Haven't you seen in movies too?" Haru agreed and let that one go and waited for this to happen again.
After a week, he saw another dream which seemed close to reality. In the dream, he is sitting on a bench on a railway station which was facing a beautiful scenery of trees surrounding a lake with a beautiful background of mountains covered in snow and a clear rainbow. Beside him on the bench, a girl is sitting wearing a white sweater. The girl moved closer to him and leaned towards him. As he was seeing something happening he woke up and realized it to be a dream. He said, "I wonder who she was." He also thought that this dream could happen in real life too just like those other dreams. He was curious.
Weeks passed but nothing like that happened. He almost forgot about the dream because of his exams and regular school schedule.
Time for winter breaks came. It was the time to relieve from exam stress and relax. Haru was at home having tea and relaxing. He was getting bored and wanted to go on a vacation or a trip with his friend. At the exact same time he got a phone call from Tsuki. Tsuki was also bored and told Haru to think of a plan for a trip. Suddenly Haru remembered that dream of a girl sitting next to him somewhere at a railway station. He told Tsuki to wait for a few minutes and hanged up on the call.
He started browsing internet and searched for all the railway stations near his town. Then he filtered his searches to the railways stations near some hilly areas. He was trying to find the exact same railway station as seen in the dream but couldn't find it. But he realized that from his home town station, to one side the railway goes to countryside plain areas and the other side goes to hilly areas. And there were some stations on web towards the hilly areas.
So he phone called Tsuki and told him, "Let's go for a train ride." As Tsuki asked for details he told him that they will go from Shimoda station to Iya Valley station which is the last station situated near Iya Valley, which is a famous hotspot for tourists. Tsuki agreed excitedly and added to their plan, "We will pickup Daichi from Chino station. Its been so long. We haven't met her since then."
Daichi is an eighteen year old highschool girl with brown hair who was Haru and Tsuki's classmate and bestfriend. But because of her father's work, last year, she moved to the next town with her family and started studying there.
All three, Haru, Tsuki and Daichi were best friends. They used to spend most of the time together and were very close to each other. At a time, Haru started liking Daichi. But he thought it will ruin all of their friendship if he proposed her out. So he kept quite. He got hurt when he came to know that someone else asked Daichi out and she said yes. But he didn't let it effect their friendship and suppressed his feelings as much as he can. Both Haru and Tsuki continued to remain in contact with Daichi even after she moved to another town and all three of them remained bestfriends till now.
Next day they prepared for their trip informing Daichi about their plan which she agreed to and the day next to it they reached Shimoda station in the morning. It was a beautiful day with clear sky. They waited for the train and as train reached their station they boarded it.
After half an hour they reached Chino station where Daichi was waiting. As the train stopped, they both got out of train to meet Daichi. Both were looking towards the station, when someone came from behind and tapped their shoulders. As they both turned around, Daichi gave both of them hug. Like Daichi they both were very happy to see her. They met her after an year. As they were sharing their joy with each other, Tsuki realized that the train was still not ready to go. Something was off. They asked the train conductor. He told them that the divergent lever got stuck so they are fixing it and it would take sometime to do so. So until then, they thought of roaming around the Chino station market.
