Mom didn’t come home until 6:00 pm. She opened the front door. “Hey mom” I fake smiled. –“I didn’t saw you this morning. Were you sleeping?” –“Yeah, I was very tired” I lied. I’m happy she didn’t scold me. She went straightly to her room and didn’t come out for the whole night; she has been acting weird lately. I didn’t really pay much attention and fell asleep.

When I woke up I saw a text from Harry:

H: Hey, are you up? J

M: Oh sorry, I just woke up.

He instantly responded:

H: I’m going to the café with the Chris and Faith wanna come?

M: Sure, I’ll be there in half an hour!

Woah, I couldn’t believe he was asking me out. I mean, he’s a stranger. I instantly got dressed and went running to the café (which is very close to my house). When I got in the first thing I saw was Chris’ blonde locks. He was sitting with Faith in the last table. Where could Harry be? I walked slowly to their table. “Hey, Harry’s waiting for you over there” Faith happily said as she pointed to a squared table. “Okay” I nodded. I slowly walked to the table as I sat on the chair. “Do you like this place?” Harry questioned. It was a pretty place. It smelled very nice and had a vintage look. -“Yeah, I love it.” Harry smiled at me. A waitress walked to our table. “Good morning love birds, my name is Kaitlyn and I’ll be your waitress today. Something to drink? A pastry?” –“I’ll have some coffee.” Harry ordered. He loved coffee. “The lady?” –“I’ll have an iced-tea.” I answered.

As the lady walked away Harry started to converse. After many stories and life experiences he finally said: “I think you are a very nice and beautiful girl. And I have to say that I am in love with you. I nervously looked away and saw Chris kissing Faith. Oh my god. I looked at Harry in the eyes, then at his lips. How can this be possible? “Well, I also like you and I’m really happy.” I gulped as I thought of the mistake I just made. He took my hand and I looked at him nervously. I felt a knot in my stomach with butterflies flying around it. I blushed. Harry approached and leaned closer to me. His full lips were about to touch mine. Just then Kaitlyn came. -“One cup of coffee for the guy and one cup of iced-tea for the girl.” Harry was just about to kiss me! Why did she come? I guess it’s okay… Besides, he’s a stranger. Kaitlyn walks away and Harry starts talking: “Don’t you have school today?” Geez, then I wouldn’t be here, idiot. –“Nah, they gave us the day free.”

We spent 2 hours talking until we left. “Want a ride?” –“I guess, last time it wasn’t that bad.” In the way home I felt very happy. “I just met this guy and I’m already falling for him. Is this even possible?”- I thought.

When Harry left me home, mom was sitting in the couch. “Mary, we gotta go to the doctor.” What? My mom turned her car on and I followed her path. “I want to show you something.” I really got excited… What could it possibly be? We got to the office and had to wait a few minutes. When we got to the room a nurse lied down my mom on the beds they had. The doctor came and checked her. My mom was freaking pregnant. “Mom, I’m 15. What are you doing?” I’m my mom’s only child. “Don’t worry darling.”

When we got back home I went to sleep with all these things in my mind. Hooking up with a stranger? Having a new sibling at this time of my life? My life is a mess.
