The City of Freedom... At least, that’s what it used to be. After the fight to save Dvalin everyone went back to their everyday lives – busy and in high spirits. Little did they know, the doom of their beloved city was closer than they could’ve ever imagined. That day is a tainted memory that will forever live in the memory of those who survived.

Bodies upon bodies lay as still as a stone amongst that wasteland of flames and smoke. Those bodies belonged to the knights who were once honored for their protection of Mondstadt, however, this time they couldn’t fight the evil that arose.

Amongst the sound of cracking wood, shattering bricks, crackling flames and the sound of cries, the distinctive sound of a blade scratching along the concrete echoed seemingly louder than the rest.

“Kill them.” muttered the wielder of the sword.

“Kill them all.” the voice grew more and more unfamiliar with each word, to the point where Albedo couldn’t even recognize himself.

Slowly raising his head from the ground, Albedo tilted his head to the side while his eyes stayed locked in position, staring ahead at the statue that loomed over Mondstadt.

“Barbatos.” he hissed, almost retching at the thought of the pathetic excuse for an Archon.

He proceeded to drag his feet towards the statue while his blade trailed behind him, blood rolling down its shiny surface. All was well until he heard the thud of two small feet to his left. Whipping his head to the side his eyes met with two large, round green ones. Those eyes belonging to Diona.

Seeing the vicious look in his eyes, Diona took a few steps back, tightening her grip around Roger – a cat who resided in the Cat’s Tail. Tears started to form in Diona’s eyes as Albedo’s expression grew more and more menacing. Just as she was about to collapse to the ground, Margaret rushed over and wrapped her arms around Diona’s tiny frame, pulling her away.

Ignoring the disturbance, Albedo continued walking towards the statue, dragging his feet up the steps until he was at its feet. As he slowly looked up at the face of the Archon he realized the sheer size of the concrete structure. He raised his hand to touch it and trailed it along the structure before coming across what looked to be a weak point. Dawning a smirk on his lips he lifted his hand from the concrete, forming a gold glow in his palm when suddenly he heard loud footsteps nearing him.

Coming to a stop, Jean tightened her grip on the handle of her sword before speaking sternly.

“Albedo, leave before I am forced to do something I don’t want to.”

Slowly raising his head to make eye contact with the Dandelion Knight herself.

“And what if I don’t.” he threatened causing Jean’s expression to waver.

Not long after she readjusted her expression and tightened her grip once again before preparing to speak again.

“Don’t hurt him!” cried a voice in the distance.

Recognizing the voice, both Jean and Albedo’s heads shot up.

“Klee come back, it’s not safe!” Amber pleaded before her eyes met with Jean’s and she suddenly came to a stop.

Once she had reached Jean’s side, she grabbed hold of her arm wielding the weapon and pulled it down to her height. Stumbling forward a bit from the tug, Jean pulled back gently to avoid Klee potentially harming herself with the weapon.

“Please don’t hurt brother Albedo. He’s not himself right now.” Klee pleaded as her eyes met Jean’s. The look of pure horror clouding her bright red eyes.
