The beautiful night sky looks like someone put bright, glowing, white paint all over the pretty blue sky. It truly was a gorgeous night. The wind whistled through Liyue while the full moon beamed down. Zhongli, Rex Lapis, the geo archon, walked through the busy streets. Xiao, the adeptus and yaksha followed Mr. Zhongli, disgusted by all the mortals surrounding them. Tartaglia was yet again drunk and telling a story. Zhongli put Tartaglia on his back and continued walking to his house. Xiao stared at Tartaglia. Tartaglia passed out and slept silently. Xiao sighed as he looked up into the night sky. Zhongli heard Xiao sigh and turned to face him. "Xiao...What's wrong?" Zhongli asked. "Nothing, just disgusted that you dare to touch a mortal like Tartaglia. You're the geo archon but yet you hang out with mortals like him. It makes no sense to me." Xiao replied. "Oh, I understand. If it makes you happier, the lantern rite is coming up quite soon." Zhongli said as he checked a nearby calendar. "January 15th is in just a few days, 36 days until now to be exact." Zhongli stated. Xiao looked into the sky yet again and smiled a little. Xiao, thinking of Venti, and now he wants to bring Venti to Liyue so they can watch the beautiful sight together. "Actually, Zhongli, I might not go to the lantern rite." Xiao lied to Zhongli. "Really? You said that last time and still went, are you sure this time?" Zhongli asked. "Yes, I'm sure. I might go but I might not. I think I'm not going though." Xiao answered. "Fair well." Zhongli added. Tartaglia woke up, extremely confused. Xiao then ran off not wanting to talk to Tartaglia. Zhongli set Tartaglia down and continued to walk back to their house, not saying a word. Tartaglia of course followed. Zhongli and Tartaglia went to their house, Tartaglia talking about bloodshed and Zhongli listening. They walked inside and Zhongli went to the bathroom, while Tartaglia went to the bedroom to change into his pajamas. Xiao walked in the house hours later, approximately at 4am, he went to his room and laid down in his bed.Struggling to not sleep. Fighting his urge to sleep he sat up and teleported to Venti in Mondstatd, a region beside Liyue. Venti, Barbatos, the anemo archon was drinking dandelion wine. Xiao, with no surprise, took the bottle of wine from Venti and poured it down the sink. Venti got up, tripped on the rug, tugged on Xiao's arm, and said "Xiao why did you throw my wine away" and Xiao said nothing for his answer. Venti's eyes filled with tears as he went to the fridge and got another bottle of dandelion wine. Xiao was disappointed so he went to Venti's room, made the bed, and laid down. Venti went to his room 2 hours later, extremely drunk. Xiao was drinking coffee, eating almond tofu, and blasting music to stay awake. Venti looked at Xiao, laid next to Xiao, and fell into a silent yet peaceful sleep. Xiao immediately turned the music off when Venti fell asleep, not wanting to wake him, then Xiao started rehearsing how he would ask Venti to go to the lantern rite with him, but instead of doing it in his head he said all his tries out loud. Venti being a light sleeper woke up but stayed as though he was still asleep, getting flustered that Xiao wants to take him to the lantern rite. Xiao looked at Venti's 'sleeping' body and saw he was flustered, then he said "Venti...are you awake and listening to my ideas..?" and his words were filled with curiosity. Venti nodded his head and drifted himself off to sleep. Xiao was a little angry at how Venti listened to his personal questions, but he left Venti alone to sleep. Around 9am Venti woke up and looked around the room for Xiao, but he was not in sight. Venti jumped out of his bed and ran through the house looking for Xiao, worried that something happened to him. At last Venti found Xiao, in Liyue, standing on the top of Qingyun Peak, looking into the distance. The wind calmly blowing Xiao's hair made Venti as red as an apple. Xiao turned to Venti and looked back into the distance, Venti couldn't look away from Xiao, his eyes locked onto him. Mesmerized by Xiao, Venti's face got redder by the minute. Xiao then looked at Venti again and smiled a little, Venti's presence made Xiao happy. Venti then got one hundred times redder, he smiled back though. Venti then asked Xiao, "Xiao..Have you had your first kiss yet?" he asked in curiosity. Xiao said "My first what? I'm not interested in mortal things..but what is a kiss?". Venti said "Well..It's passionate, usually soft, it holds love and makes the world stop. It's done by mortals, yes but immortals also share kisses.". Xiao, intrigued but hiding it said, "It sounds delightful but also gross.." and he then muttered to himself but slightly too loud "Would Venti mind if I asked more about it? Or for us to share one ourselves?". Venti got red after hearing it and said, "You could ask me straight up Xiao" and he smiled wide at him. Xiao looked at Venti and got flustered, he replied "Well if I did ask straight up..What would you say?". Venti said "I would uh- well I'd say nothing to be honest with you". Xiao fell silent and turned to walk away, but Venti grabbed Xiao's waist and said "I wouldn't say anything because I'd do something better than my words can." and he smiled softly at Xiao. Xiao looked at Venti and his face got a little red. Venti pulled Xiao close, held his waist, and said "Xiao..may I be your first kiss?". Xiao's eyes locked into Venti's because for once Xiao wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. Venti pulled Xiao closer and moved his face close to Xiao's. Xiao just said "Venti..What is this feeling? It's like a craving. I want something badly but I don't know what it is I want. It's like-". Venti just said "Xiao, what you crave is probably affection, to be touched...To be loved, or maybe you crave this.". Venti gently pressed his lips against Xiao's, it was gentle, long, but also passionate. Venti pulled away slowly and asked "Is that what you craved?". Xiao was speechless so he responded with silence. Venti smiled and slowly let Xiao go. Xiao, still speechless, but also still had the craving for something. Xiao put Venti's hands back on his waist and struggled to say "Venti..I don't know this feeling but it's still here. Although I don't know this, I don't want the feeling to go away..". Venti, flustered, said "Xiao, are you still craving more?". Xiao nodded his head and said "But I don't want to meet up with Zhongli and the other adepti like this". Venti said "Xiao it's ok to have this feeling, can you make it through one meeting with them? After that we can go to my house and cuddle together" Venti smiled after. Xiao got flustered and said "I can.." then Xiao teleported away to the meeting. Zhongli was the only person in the room, extremely mad. Zhongli shook his head and teleported to his house. Xiao, slightly scared, teleported to Venti's house right away.  Venti was in the bathroom, showering, and reciting his poems. Xiao was teleporting around Venti's house looking for him, a little concerned. Venti, thinking he was home alone, walked right to his room and saw Xiao sitting on the bed. Venti dashed back to the bathroom before Xiao could see him. Xiao immediately stood up, pulled out his polearm, and slowly started to walk through the house incase of an intruder. Venti walked back out the bathroom dressed in his pj's. Xiao turned quickly to face the bathroom door, since he was walking past it. Venti and Xiao locked eye contact and Venti asked "Xiao why do you have your polearm out?" in confusion. Xiao sighed and put it away, then said "I thought someone snuck in so I came out of the room to check. And where were you? There's no way you could've been in the bathroom for at least 7 minutes..". Venti said "Actually I was in the bathroom for about 30 or more minutes." and he smiled with no visible shame. Xiao was shocked but hid it the best he could, then he just grabbed Venti's hand and went to the bedroom, not wanting to be by the bathroom any longer. Venti tripped but used anemo to catch himself. Xiao looked back at Venti and swung him into his arms bridal style. Venti got flustered but couldn't help himself but to laugh. Xiao looked at Venti and asked "What's so funny?". Venti looked at Xiao and said "I just never thought I would be carried by Xiao bridal style. It isn't something that happens a lot." as he was getting lost in Xiao's eyes. Xiao replied "Do you want me to put you down? You could just say so and I will." and he looked away. Venti said "No, please don't put me down, it's nice." and Venti looked down. Xiao said "Then I won't put you down..but if you ever want me to, just tell me.". Venti nodded and said "Xiao...the meeting you had to go to, it was quite quick. What happened?". Xiao said "Nothing, it wasn't anything important to me, it was mostly just for Ganyu anyways." and he sighed. Venti didn't believe Xiao but he said "Oh ok, I'm glad nothing happened.". It went silent for a moment. Xiao continued to walk to the room still carrying Venti. Venti was looking at the floor and was slowly drifting off to sleep. Xiao looked at Venti and smiled a little, he could feel Venti's warmth and his presence was enough to wear off all the negativity of that day. As the sun was setting Venti was in his bed asleep, as for Xiao he was walking around Mondstadt and looked at the Statue of Barbatos. Xiao looked at it for a moment then went up to it. He stared at the Statue of Barbatos again. Xiao climbed up the Statue of Barbatos after some time had passed. At last he got to the top and sat in the hands of the statue. The wind was gently blowing Xiao's hair, for a few minutes Xiao felt relieved and at ease. As Xiao started to close his eyes he started to have flashbacks, ones he didn't want to see. He immediately opened his eyes and saw himself in the hands of the statue. He sighed and looked up at the stars, the wind still gently blowing Xiao's hair, and the calming sound of leaves brushing through the wind made Xiao feel better. Venti woke up thinking he heard Xiao talking, he sat up and looked around confused. He stood and changed into his normal outfit, as he was changing Xiao teleported in Venti's room. He saw Venti's shirtless body and immediately got flustered. Venti turned around so he could look in the mirror and just saw Xiao staring at him. Venti's face got red as he looked at Xiao. Xiao turned away quickly once Venti looked at him. Venti asked "Did you um...enjoy the view?" as he walked to his mirror. Xiao looked back at Venti and said "The view..It was nice, I wouldn't mind looking again, if you wouldn't mind." and he was looking at Venti's hair and eyes. Venti got redder and said "I wouldn't mind if you did, you could anytime and I wouldn't mind" and he looked at Xiao. Xiao looked back at Venti and said "That's good to know-...Not like that just it's good to know.." and he got a little sweaty and red as if he were lying. Venti noticed and asked "It's like that isn't it? It's ok if it is, I don't really mind that either." and he smiled at Xiao. Xiao asked Venti "How come you don't mind? Isn't it weird to you that it is like that? I mean..I'm not judging you but I'm actually curious on how you don't mind..." and he just looked at Venti's waist. Venti said "I don't mind because if I'm being honest if our situation was flip flopped I really don't think you would mind me wanting the same. Also I don't think it's weird because I truly do hope that if you want to at least you know you have my consent to look and I won't be uncomfortable." and Venti looked in his mirror. Xiao walked up to the mirror and looked in it too. Venti turned to Xiao and said "Xiao...Are you sure nothing happened in the meeting..?" with a voice full of worry. Xiao looked at Venti and said "Well..I actually missed the meeting...Zhongli looked mad as hell so I came here. That's all..." then he looked back in the mirror. Venti held Xiao's hand and said "Thank you for telling me" and he smiled. Xiao looked at the hand that Venti was holding and nodded. The room was silent for a minute. Xiao looked at Venti and asked "So um..What was that thing called? You asked me if I had one a few hours ago.". Venti looked at Xiao and said "I don't know, I asked you many things in the past few hours. Can you show me what it was?" even though he knew exactly what it was. Xiao said "Yeah..I can" and he slid his hand away from Venti. Xiao put his hands on Venti's waist, pulled Venti close, and he gave Venti a kiss. The kiss lasted a while. Xiao pulled away and saw that Venti's face was red. Xiao asked "Did I do something wrong or did you just- nevermind..Forget it." and he let go of Venti. Venti said "No Xiao, you didn't do anything wrong, I enjoyed it and it seemed like you did too." and Venti smiled at Xiao. Xiao said "I..didn't do anything wrong? In all seriousness I didn't mess anything up?" and he smiled a little. Venti nodded and said "You didn't mess up one thing.". Xiao smiled a little more and he looked at Venti's eyes, then he looked Venti up and down slowly. Venti noticed and he did a pose then winked at Xiao. Xiao's face immediately turned red and he looked away. Venti laughed, held Xiao's face, and turned Xiao's face to his. Xiao's face immediately turned red. Venti said "You're red Xiao" and he smiled. Xiao looked away and said "I know, I can feel it..It doesn't help my boiling yaksha blood. I hate feeling the heat from my face though...". Venti said "Oh right, do you need something cold? I have a lot of cold water." and Xiao replied with a shake of his head. "I'll go to Dragonspine and eat snow..." said Xiao. Venti said "Alright but if you need me you know where to look!" he winked, then dashed to Angel's Share. Xiao teleported to Dragonspine and started to eat the snow like he said. Albedo was drawing and he saw Xiao. Albedo walked over and asked "Do you mind if I study you? You seem quite fascinating..". Xiao looked up at Albedo and said "No, I don't even want to be in the presence of a mortal, especially not one that will experiment on me..Zhongli told me about you, you like to study people, like the traveler, I have no trust towards you." and he scoffed. Albedo had shock written on his face. Albedo asked "Well may I observe you eating the snow?" and Xiao nodded his head barely, then continued to eat more snow. Albedo asked "How are you not cold? You have barely any layers..". Xiao said "I'm an adeptus and yaksha, I don't get sick. And the cold feels refreshing to my boiling yaksha blood. Mortals like you wouldn't understand.". Albedo said "I do, you enjoy the cold and don't get sick because you're immortal. It's easy to understand.". Xiao was surprised and mad. Xiao said "Most...Mortals don't understand. Apparently you're smarter than most." he turned around and continued eating snow. Albedo asked "What's your name? I'm Albedo.". Xiao sighed and said "Adeptus Xiao..Don't forget it, if you need my help just call my name and I'll save you.". Albedo replied "It's nice to meet you, Adeptus Xiao", Xiao coughed up water and said "You actually called me Adeptus Xiao? Are you insane or something? Or are you just nice?". Albedo said "It wouldn't be exactly nice of me to just call you Xiao...I've heard how you can get from many people. I do not want to anger you so I will only be polite." and he smiled. Xiao turned around and stood up "Who told you?" Then he yelled the exact same question at Albedo. Albedo said "Adeptus Xiao please calm down. Let's have a peaceful conversation so neither of us gets hurt.". Xiao's eyes were filled with anger, he sighed, and made a snowball. Xiao said "Tartaglia, he said that when people get mad they play a game. He told me about a game where you make balls of snow and throw it at each other. Or fighting also makes him feel better. So pick one.". Albedo said "Maybe a snowball fight, until we know each other's strength better.". Xiao nodded and aggressively threw the snowball at Albedo. Albedo said "Ow..Not so aggressive. Like this." and he made a snowball and threw it at Xiao just hard enough for it to break. Xiao said "Oh, so gently. Alright..". Xiao and Albedo had a snowball fight until the sun was gone. Xiao said "Go..I might visit again. This was entertaining.". Albedo nodded, smiled, and walked away in silence. Xiao teleported to Venti's to see him lying in the bed with tear stains on his cheeks. Xiao quietly and slowly got in bed with Venti and laid with him. Xiao wrapped his arms around Venti's waist. Venti woke up and turned around quickly. Xiao looked at Venti for a second and said "Sorry, I just..felt bad, I teleported in and saw tear stains on your cheeks..I thought this would um...make you feel better but I only scared you." and he let go. Venti said "You didn't scare me, I just wasn't expecting cold hands to wrap around me. You're fine Xiao." and he smiled. Xiao said "Good to know..." and he got up, teleported to the kitchen, boiled water, and put his hands in it. He teleported back in the bed and got under the covers. Xiao wrapped his hands back around Venti's waist. Venti blushed and turned back around. Xiao slowly wrapped his legs around Venti and tried not to doze off. Xiao realized how uncomfortable laying under covers with pants on was and carefully unwrapped from Venti. Xiao took his pants off and left them under the blankets. He wrapped back around Venti and tried to stay awake, but his mind and body was too relaxed. As Xiao was unconscious he slid his hands up Venti's sleep shirt. Venti's body tensed up then relaxed. Xiao scooted down a little and rested his head on Venti's lower back. Venti woke up enough to be aware and turned to look at Xiao, he smiled and fell back asleep. After a few hours of them resting Xiao woke up and was immediately flustered. He scooted himself back up and kissed Venti's cheek. Xiao unwrapped himself from Venti and got out of bed. He teleported to the bathroom and took a shower. Xiao went back to Venti's room and put on his clothes. He looked in the mirror and just smiled a little. He stared for a minute and looked back at Venti. Xiao just started to do random things in Venti's room. Venti woke up and saw Xiao in his clothes. Venti fake slept and watched Xiao. Xiao was walking around the room thinking out loud, since he thinks Venti's asleep. Xiao was saying quite some romantic things and asking himself what questions to ask Zhongli about true love. Venti was getting flustered and also thinking about the same questions himself. After a few minutes Xiao sighs and writes everything down so he wouldn't forget. Venti was asleep halfway through. Xiao stuffed the paper in one of his boots and teleported outside the tavern. He walked in and saw Diluc. They stared at each other for a while then Xiao walked up to the bar. Xiao said "How much and what is your strongest beverage?". Diluc said "1700 mora, and it's dandelion wine. And I don't care who you are, no discounts.". Xiao said "Didn't want one." and he handed Diluc a pouch of mora. Diluc slid over a cup of dandelion wine. Xiao picked it up staring at Diluc and sniffed the wine, he was in shock at the delicious aroma. Diluc raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms confused. Xiao kept staring at Diluc and took a sip, his eyes grew wide and chugged the rest. Diluc slightly laughed at Xiao. Xiao laughed in a mocking way and jumped over the bar. Diluc started yelling at Xiao to go back on the other side. Xiao rolled his eyes and pulled Diluc's hair. Diluc picked Xiao up and threw him out the tavern. Xiao ran in and tackled Diluc while he was cleaning up the tables. Diluc just sighed and stood up. Diluc truly didn't want to fight at the moment. Xiao was throwing Diluc around the tavern and Diluc was just ignoring him. Xiao was throwing Diluc at walls and such. Diluc got tired of it and slapped Xiao in the back of the head. Diluc said "Stop..I'm trying to finish my job and clean up. If you're mad there's training dummies somewhere.". Xiao pulled Diluc's hair one last time and teleported to Venti's room. Diluc sighed and then continued cleaning. Xiao saw that Venti was awake and he waved at Venti. Venti waved back and got up. Venti started to get undressed and said "Hey Xiao do you need to use the bathroom before I get in the shower. I usually keep the door unlocked anyways but it's still polite to ask.". Xiao glanced at Venti's almost nuded body and shook his head no. Venti said "Alright but if you do, the door is unlocked.". Xiao nodded and watched Venti walk out the room. Xiao took everything but his underwear off and laid on the bed bored. About an hour or two later Venti walked in the room, wet body, and towel wrapped around his waist. Xiao was laying down as if he were asleep and was watching Venti. The light glistened on Venti's body. Xiao's face was turning red. Venti took the towel off and sat on the bed carefully. Venti pulled out a towel from a drawer. Venti started drying his hair and used the previous towel to dry his body. Xiao was quietly and secretly watching Venti. Venti got up and put his underwear on. Venti laid in the bed behind Xiao and cuddled him from behind. Xiao could tell how red his face was and tried to shake the thoughts he had from his head. Venti wrapped his arms around Xiao's waist and held him tight. Xiao felt the warmth but his unspeakable thoughts only got worse. Venti started kissing the upper left of Xiao's back. Xiao's face got redder with each kiss. Venti was rubbing Xiao's waist and kissing his upper back. Xiao's cravings he had when he had his first kiss came back but stronger. Xiao rolled over slowly and Venti just looked at Xiao. Xiao looked back at Venti and asked "So what um..is it when someone wants to be kissed multiple times.?". Venti said "Well it depends, if they just want to be kissed a few times they just want kisses. If they want continuous kisses then they want to make out with someone.". Xiao nodded and wrapped his arms around Venti. Venti blushed and asked "Why did you want to know?". Xiao replied "I was just curious..That's all.". Venti said "Oh alright, I have a strong feeling there's more but ok Xiao." and he smiled. Xiao said "Sometimes the strong feelings could be true but most of the time they aren't.". Venti said "Actually a lot of my strong feelings end up true..Xiao are you avoiding the truth? It's ok if there's more you don't have to tell me but don't lie to me please.". Xiao said "I don't avoid the truth, I avoid vulnerability. But yes, I will not lie to you unless you're in danger. Although I'm just the protector of Liyue I still have to protect you. And I'll stand by that too." and he mumbled "And yes there is more to my question than just curiosity.". Venti smiled at Xiao and said "Alright good to know all that. Also can we go to the store? I need more pj's because mine are getting too small for me.". Xiao said "I suppose..But I won't be buying you anything. Here." and he handed Venti a bag of 400,000 mora and said "I have things I need to buy so use that. If you run out then think about what you're spending it on and if you're actually gonna use it.". Venti nodded and Xiao teleported them to the mall. "Don't get lost, if you do call out my name." Xiao said and he walked into a random store and started looking around. Venti smiled, waved, and started going crazy with the mora, mostly buying clothes though. Xiao bought Venti some Valentine chocolates and such. Xiao hid the gifts in a mini backpack he bought. Xiao started looking around the mall and saw a Hot Topic. He immediately dashed there and bought everything that peaked his interest. About an hour later Xiao's on a bench waiting for Venti. He started to hear Venti yell Xiao continuously and he teleported to Venti. Venti was surrounded by fans and was about to end up cornered by them all. Xiao grabbed Venti, glared at all the fans, and teleported them to Venti's house once again. Xiao held Venti's face and asked "Are you alright? Do you need anything?". Venti shook his head no and hugged Xiao tightly. Xiao blushed and smiled. Xiao said "Venti if you can please take this mini bag off my back. There's something in there for you, everything in it. And yes I know I'm about three days late but I still wanted to get you something..". Venti slid the bag off Xiao and opened it. Venti looked in the bag and immediately blushed, his face turned bright red. Venti smiled widely at Xiao and spun around in circles holding him. Xiao smiled back and then sensed a terrible presence and said "Venti can you stop spinning? I need to check up on something..". Venti nodded, stopped spinning, and let go of Xiao. Xiao walked out of Venti's house and started running through Mondstadt. He saw Diluc and Kaeya outside of Mondstadt's gates and on the other side of the bridge, fighting each other. Xiao ran over to them and threw both to the ground. Diluc got up and Xiao and him started to argue. Kaeya, not knowing what to do, pulled Xiao from Diluc and said "Me and Diluc have issues to be resolved, leave us be kid. I don't want anything else to go wrong. Now off you go.". Xiao not wanting anything to do with it anymore, he nodded, and walked back to Venti's house. Kaeya turned to Diluc, and wanting to bring back good memories, he smiled. Diluc said "Don't act all happy now because you knights are always so inef-". Kaeya asked "Inefficient? You say that all the time. And why do you always pick a fight with me? I know I'm not that bad, or is it because something I don't want to speak of? A burden you carry?". Diluc said "It's not me who carries the burden, it's you. I can tell by the way you act around me, your tone changes, your eyes have a different look in them, your actions are far from your normal self. I know your secret and I know I haven't ever made you feel any less guilty for it. Every time you hang out with someone I know you feel as though you do not deserve them as your friend. And I also know you feel unloved, or unwanted even. Everyone loves you, Lisa, Jean, Klee, Albedo, they all love you. Your presence. I can tell, everyone acts a certain way around people they cherish moments with. It's quite obvious. And that's why you are an inefficient knight. You don't notice such small details." and Diluc walked away after saying everything he ever wanted to. Kaeya looked at Diluc's figure walking away and he smiled while his eyes filled with tears. Kaeya walked back into the walls of Mondstadt and noticed everyone who loves him. He smiled at all of them. Kaeya saw Venti and Xiao by the fountain. Xiao was drenching his face in the water and Venti was playing a song. Kaeya was confused but started talking to Venti. Xiao brought his head out of the water and glared at Kaeya. Kaeya looked at Xiao, glared back for a moment, and continued talking to Venti. Venti noticed and said "Hey Kaeya it looks like Klee is coming over here. Why not go help with her needs? Me and Xiao are quite busy..". Xiao nodded and then pointed at Klee's short figure running over smiling. Kaeya said "Alright lord Barbatos." and he started talking to her and helping Klee. Xiao grabbed Venti's hand and teleported them to Dragonspine, specifically to Albedo. Albedo looked up and was a little surprised to actually see Xiao return. Albedo asked "Do you need something, Venti or Adeptus Xiao? Or maybe Adeptus Xiao agreed to let me run experiments on him?". Xiao said "I would never allow that..Ever. I just took us here so we can get away from that kid Klee and that dude Kaeya.". Venti said "HEYY IT'S THAT ONE GUY THAT TEACHES THAT ONE GIRLLL. AREN'T Y'ALL TWO DATING OR SOMETHING??!". Albedo got a little flustered and said "Me and Sucrose..Yes, she is my student and my partner. We don't always do romantic things like some lovers but we are a couple.".
