Until the night sky's diamonds fall to the seas,
Shattering into irreparable slivers and shards;
Until the proud, angelic lantern perishes to charcoal,
Smearing, camouflaging into the darkness;
Until the victory flame ceases to dawn,
Burning out for the final time, a symbol of defeat,
There is light to fight the fight,
Of darkness within the souls of every man, woman, and child;
Of the spine chilling, scream curdling night terrors, which haunt innocent dreams;
Of the overwhelming sense of doom, the 'maybe's and 'what ifs'
As long as heaven's luminous lighthouse beacons,
There's reason to look up;
To see the miracles in the beauty all around;
To awe as tomorrow bathes in new light
So long as mother nature gracefully pirouettes in place
So long as the sun rises at the day's beginning, and the moon at the night's awakening
So long as the darkness never defeats the light
There...is...still...hope
