Suhasini was in the living room when she saw Akshu and Aaru returning.
"Akshu, Aaru," she called out, her tone soft but full of concern. "Kaha thi tum dono? Kairav has been calling for you both."
Aaru and Akshu glanced at each other, looking a bit guilty.
"Sorry, Mimi," Aaru said. "We were outside."
Kairav, from the other room, called out with a touch of impatience, "Akshu, Aaru, idhar aana to."
The two girls quickly made their way toward him, responding in unison, "Ha, bhaiya."
"Don't you know I've been calling you both for a while?" Kairav said, teasing them but also clearly caring. "You were supposed to go to the Aashram today."
"Sorry, Kairav," Akshu replied, her tone apologetic. "We'll go there now."
"And take this with you," Kairav said, handing them a small bundle. "Don't forget."
"Okay, bhaiya," Aaru said, taking the bundle from him.
As Akshu and Aaru made their way out, Akshu began humming a song softly, lost in her thoughts. She thought about the Aashram and how Naira and Kartik had always emphasized the importance of helping others.
Meanwhile, a figure in the distance, Abhimanyu, was walking down the street when he heard Akshu's soft voice singing. He stopped in his tracks, enchanted by the sound. He tried to catch a glimpse of the singer, but as soon as he approached, Akshu left the spot, unaware of his presence.
Her bracelet, however, slipped from her wrist and fell to the ground. Abhi bent down and picked it up, his heart inexplicably racing.
The next day, as Akshu was walking, lost in her own thoughts about the events at the Aashram, she suddenly slipped. Before she could react, a pair of strong arms caught her, preventing her from falling. She looked up to see a young man standing before her, concern written all over his face.
"Are you okay?" Abhi asked, his voice gentle. "Be careful next time. You're the one who was singing near the river, right?"
Akshu blinked, surprised by the question. "How do you know that?"
"I was there," Abhi explained, a slight smile on his face. "By the way, I never caught your name."
"Akshara," she replied, looking at him curiously. "You can call me Akshu. And you are?"
"Abhimanyu," he said, offering her a friendly smile. "You can call me Abhi."
Akshu hesitated for a moment but then nodded. "Alright."
Abhi smiled warmly, "Let me drop you home."
"No, it's okay," Akshu replied quickly. "I can walk myself."
But Abhi was insistent. "I insist. I'll drop you."
"Okay then," Akshu said, smiling softly as she walked beside him.
The moment felt light, yet there was an undeniable connection between them, a spark that neither could explain.
