Author’s note: Hi, this will be my second update on my story “Year 3000”. I hope you guys will bare with me. I wanna make this a long story but I don’t know if I can make it to my goal. Haha. Enjoy reading! And tell me if it’s uninteresting and I’ll stop this. Have a nice day or evening everyone!

*************

I woke up seeing the white ceiling, vaguely sees the white light. Okay I get it, I might be dead but it got me seconds to realized I’m not in my own house. I was laying on somebody’s bed. Aaaack! I suddenly sat down and noticed some tubes on me. I’m in the hospital.

I don’t get it, why am I here- aaaaah. Something weird happened last night! I was thinking deeply again about what happened when someone entered the room and it’s my cousin, Hans.

“You’re awake, thank Heavens.” He said. “I’m worried sick! You’re not answering my calls, even Mom is hysterical!” He added.

“I’m sorry, I’m okay. It’s just the sleeping pills I guess.” I responded.

“No, you’re not okay. You should live with us instead of living alone in your house.” He said.

Here we go again. I am living alone in my father’s house since 3 years ago. My father works as a researcher on field finding some medicinal properties of some unlisted plants to some mountains on Northwest side of the country. And 3 years ago, an accident happened that shattered myself into pieces. My father died due to a plane crash while researching. His remains came to me in form of ashes.

I can’t accept the fact that I haven’t seen him for the last time, hating the fact that I won’t be able to touch his physical structures again. My father raised me and my mother was deceased after I was born. I’m on my own now, I managed to go to school because of my extended relatives. They give me allowances for my food and bills. I am somehow lucky I got them.

“Okay, but how did you managed to know I’m in trouble?” I asked. Because the last thing I know is that I passed out.

“Silly.” He messed my hair.

“You texted me and said if I can go to your house since you’re not feeling well. And I’m worried as well as Mom so I went straight to your house and saw you laying on the floor inside your room.”

“I panicked! And quickly called an ambulance” he said.

Maybe I really texted him and forgot about it because I was really dizzy and not feeling well. Damn! I won’t be taking more sleeping pills again. Maybe that’s why I’m hallucinating! And all of what have just happened last night was purely an imagination? Oh right. I got myself into trouble.

“Are you sure you don’t want to live with us?” Hans asked me for the nth time from the hospital parking lot to my front door.

I gave him ‘the “no” look’ and he kinda get it.

“Okay, okay. If you need anything don’t you ever hesitate to call me okay?” He hugged me.

“Goodbye now.” As he entered and started turning on the car’s engine. I just smiled and watch his car disappearing on my sight.

“Alone at last.” Since it’s Saturday, I don’t have much to do. Don’t have any assignments either.

I entered the house and it’s still the same. Same atmosphere and same void I feel.

I went straight to my room and saw my phone on my study table. I put my bag and breathe heavily as I approached my phone and check it.
