Chapter 7.

William Afton had asked Nightmare to hold Goldie. Without further ado, he took him carefully but quickly close to him, keeping him protective. Afton took a deep breath, taking the form of Glitchtrap, entering Goldie's mind.. again.

It was infected... the system was infected. On a dark side was his future son, trapped on the ground by poisonous green virus. Unconscious.

'Where are you, Virus?!'

A laugh was heard in the distance. A chaotic and well-infected one. Green eyes like a bright acid, with a white pupil inside, which shone brightly. He looked like a black rabbit, super dark purple.. in the shadows.

'Hello, Glitchtrap~'

'Give him back. Now.'

He blinked twice. 'Oh. Direct to the subject? No chit-chat? Sad~'

'Virus.'

'Oh come on. William!~' He teleported to the trapped boy, giving him a voltage through the ties, receiving a whimper of pain back. 'I just started having fun.~'

'VIRUS!'

Glitchtrap teleported in front of him quickly, punching him in the face. He knocked him to the ground. Hands clasped around the enemy's neck. Virus stared at him for a moment, then began to snort in a chaotic laugh. It seems invigorating for his soul.

'What's so funny?'

'Hahahaha!!! YOU! YOU are so funny! Strangling me! I BEG you. Please do it!!'

Something crazy about him made him feel familiar to Afton. The rabid virus went crazy right now, he grinned.

'Of course not.~ Hehehehe..haha..' Right after, he kicked him in the chest, Glitchtrap falling to the floor in pain. The virus rose quickly, kicking the floor with one foot. Green ties grabbing Afton by the wrists, holding him to the ground.

'Virus- Please- I can give you another body! But not Him!.. Please..' He implores.

Virus approach Afton. He looked him straight in the eyes. 'And why would I do that?' Tough and serious voice. It reminded him of someone.

'Listen.. I know you don't like moving from one body to another, but I can't keep you in my mind. It's enough that I have HIM. If I had you too- My mind would give way. I would lose my mind! You are a VIRUS, Virus. Please.. I promise I'll find you a host- But not Goldie..'

The virus looked at him for a while. He broke the eyes contact, snapping his fingers, and the infected ties were gone from the killer's wrists.

'Alex too.'

The shadow commented something under his breath, freeing the boy from his possession.

'Thanks a lot..'

'Yeah, yeah.' He said almost mockingly.

'I promise that- '

'SHUT UP and get out once!'

'... Not without you.'

'Willia- '

But it had already been sent in reality. Virus had quickly receded into the shadows, only his eyes visible. Glitchtrap shifts back himself, going to Goldie, who was in Nightmare's protective arms. He ran his hand lightly through the blond hair of the sleeping boy.

"He'll be fine now.." He looked at Nightmare. "Can you take care of him? I have little work to do with someone."

Night approved, taking Goldie in his arms. C.C flew silently past his friends back to his bedroom. William Afton returned to the shadow virus.

"Come on."

The virus growled slowly, but he followed. At the office.

"And what are you going to do to me?"

"Do you want a stable body or not?"

"... Do what you want."

William sighed. 'You're still stubborn..'

There was a faint knock on the door after minutes of work. "Open."

"Sorry to bother you.." It was Michael. He closed the door behind him carefully. He stared in amazement at what his father was doing. "A.. new model?"

"You can say that too." He had made the last adjustments. "It's for Him." Will pointed to the dark wall, where acid green eyes and salt white pupils could be seen shining.

A chill ran through Michael's dead body as he watched those cold, ruthless eyes staring at him. "Uh.. Hello?"

"Hello."

"... Father.."

"He doesn't bite. Stay calm." William assured him as he continued to work.

"And.. uh.. I'm Michael. You- "

"Virus." He answered quickly and coldly.

"... I'm glad, Virus."

"Mhm." Eyes had shifted to Afton. "Finished?"

"Yes." He got up from the floor. "Just- Come in. You also have an illusion disk inside."

The virus shadow rabbit just peeled off the wall, speeding into the animatron that looked like him. It was also a rabbit's shadow. The new body received a shock of neon electricity. His eyes had blinked a few times. He had changed into Virus. Looking at his own hands.

"Huh.. Well. Not so bad. Not yet." He looked at William. "Thanks." He had passed him, but his wrist had been caught. "William Afton."

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know. I will see."

"..Vanny?"

"Not even through dreams."

"Then stay here!" He was worried. Why was he worried? He had no idea.

"I can't. I don't want to."

"Then go to Henry."

"Heh.. What do you care where I go?" His voice was cold.

"I don't know. But I care. So please. At least go to Henry!"

"Let go of my wrist." The killer had let go, looking slightly at the floor. "Looks like I'm going to pay someone a visit today. First to Vanny, then to the person I'm staying with now. I'm curious if that bunny will recognize me." Giggles at the end. Someone's gaze rises from the ground. "Goodbye, Willy.~"

With those words, he was gone. Michael stared at his father. "Willy?"

"... Only one person called me that.. And that person no longer exists among us.." He said softly with longing and sadness at the end.

"..Uncle?"

Afton approves. "Yeah.. However, I hope Virus will be okay. Maybe he appeared by mistake, but I feel like we have.. a connection. I don't even know.." He messed up his hair slightly. "But let's not talk about this. It creates melancholy and- and feelings in me, and I don't like that. At all."

"Of course."

"So," he sat down in the swivel chair at his desk. "What are you thinking about here?"

Michael briefly swelled his cheeks with air, then let the air out. He stared at his father before speaking. "Weeellll.. uh.. About me and Enn- "

"I agree with the wedding." He said briefly, calmly, taking his cup of coffee, which was now unfortunately cold.

Mike froze. "How did you.."

"It was obvious, Michael." He smiled at him. "I agree that you and Enn to get married."

"And adopt a child?.."

Here Afton looked at him in shock. "Child?..."

"Y-yeah.." He smiled shyly, rubbing his left arm lightly with the right one. "Enn agreed. We'll take this step after the wedding."

William smiled at his son's words.
