"That was intense," Perfida said, she and the soulpadres were in TocaTokyo to eat lunch after witnessing Brett and Crol's heated argument.
"That was barely anything," Vance scoffed. "They were just throwing shades at each other, not a good one too."
"Can't believe they'd fight for something so petty," Leyo voiced.
"Business is not petty and they're just stress," March explained. "I mean imagine investing and giving your all at something so big and turns out it all fails."
"Plus, Toca put a lot of money into the business so now it's a lose-lose situation to all of them," Vance added.
"That sucks."
"That's why Toca is with Brett right now to try and talk to him to fix things with Crol," Perfida informed.
"But seriously, what was that back there in the basement?" Vance asked, everyone turned their heads to Perfida.
"Uhm... Perdita," Perfida asked sister to explain since all eyes were on her.
"I heard voices asking for help," Perdita said.
"She said that there was someone asking for help."
"The computers were asking for help?" March was confused.
"That's where I heard the voices," Perdita shrugged.
"That's where she heard the voices," Perfida repeated.
"Although from how we see it, it kinda... make... sense...ish ," Vance thought.
"A haunting technology? you think the place is haunted because of the machines?"
"It sounds... out there... but it is possibe that an inanimate object can be haunting too, there's the crying boy painting and the Annabelle doll."
"No because I don't have the stomach to watch them."
"I write gothic graphic novel, I have to do my research about them to write them but anyway, think about it, Perfida, you saw someone when we were playing in the VR world but the rest of us don't see it, your ghost sister, can hear voices when we can't, the computers turning on and off by itself and..."
"The dreams," Perfida realized.
"I was going to say the buzzing noise, but what dreams?"
"I had a dream yesterday that my tablet was acting funny and it started talking and chasing me, I think it's telling me about the VR park."
"There's your criteria," Vance concluded.
"Okay... so why would technology haunt the place then?" Leyo asked.
"Sounds more sci-fi than a horror to me," March remarked as he sipped his milktea.
"True but like I said, Perfida and Perdita see and hear something respectively that we don't," Vance disclosed that little detail. "And like Annabelle, it could be possessed." Just hearing the word 'possessed again made Perdita on edge.
"Oooh!" they all nodded in understanding.
"Toca and his friends are having problems because of it. You know this it means? when ghost is around, I should help out," Perfida declared. "Without Hawkes this time and I don't know where to start and actually, I have no idea what I'm doing without him telling me what to do. I complain but I do it anyway."
"Maybe I can help," Vance offered.
Perfida lifted a brow at him "you will?"
"Yeah, why not?"
