|| Felix pov:
The whistling of a small bird, perched delicately on the branch outside the window, gave a deafening soundtrack that made everything else fade and melt into the background of my 4th period math class. Not daring to tear my eyes away from the little lark in fear of only disappointment presented by the wall mounted clock and its two plastic hands frozen in time.
"Felix? FELIX!" The teacher yelled to get my attention. I snapped out of it faster than Nicolas Cage in 'Moonstruck'.
"I asked you what the answer to number 7 was." My eyes immediately flew to the workbook in front of me, reluctant to admit its blankness.
"Forty...blue." I stammered. Mrs. Nam was known for being stern, but she didn't look angry at my stupidity, just confused at my answer, and I honestly can't blame her.
"Well, never in my 15years of teaching has the ever been such an, um..." She was racking her brain for something to say.
"Colourful, answer from a student. Unfortunately, uh... forty-blue is incorrect. Felix, please see me after class." Muttered giggles filled my ears as I placed my head on the desk wishing to just disappear.
