When Ethan faced anger, he collapsed, prompting Flora to rush to his side, calling out, "Ethan, are you alright? Oh my god, what was that? Is it the power of the demon darkness?" Determined to help, she resolved to enter Ethan's mind to regain control over the darkness. "Dustin, keep an eye on Ethan's body. I need to save him."
Dustin hesitated, asking, "Why do you want to save this boy? He's weak." Flora replied, "I know he's weak, and I'm not his mom. But I saved him when he was born, and I will protect him no matter what. Please, Dustin, watch over him."
Relenting, Dustin said, "Alright, but you'd better come back alive." With that, Flora used her magic to delve into Ethan's mind and fainted. Dustin carefully placed both Ethan and Flora in bed, anxiously awaiting Flora's return.
Upon waking, Flora found herself enveloped in darkness. "Hello, Ethan, where are you?" she called out. In the shadows, a red eye loomed. "Why are you here, Flora?" it hissed.
Flora responded, "Ethan? Where is he?" The darkness taunted, "Oh, you mean the boy destined to perish in the dark? Bwahahaha!"
"What do you mean?" Flora demanded.
The darkness revealed, "I granted him the power of darkness."
"How is that possible? He's a human!" she cried.
"Indeed, he's human. But when the time comes, he will belong to me," the darkness sneered.
"No," Flora retorted.
"Why do you persist?" the darkness challenged. "What is the purpose of life? To be born evil or good?"
Flora shed tears, declaring, "No matter what, some people are good, some are evil. We live in a flawed world, one that doesn't care. I'm saving him... I'm caring for him... His name is Ethan, and I will embrace him, despite his darkness."
"You're a fool. Fine, take him, but remember, another will rise to wield this power, and in the future, darkness will claim you both."
"Ethan, are you okay?" Flora asked.
"Yes, I'm okay. Where are we?" Ethan replied.
"Don't worry about that; let's go home."
Flora and Ethan awakened to find Dustin waiting for them. "It's about time you two showed up!" he said.
"What are you doing here?" Ethan inquired.
"I'll be leaving for a while. Listen, Ethan, you must learn to control your anger. Anger can be a weapon if harnessed wisely."
"I understand," Ethan replied.
"When will you be back?" he asked.
"I don't know yet, but remember this: Only a warrior or a hero can be true to himself. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Listen to your heart; it knows you can. No matter what happens to me, don't seek revenge. Keep moving forward, remain a warrior. Goodbye, Ethan. Take care."
"Thank you, Dustin, for everything," Ethan said.
Dustin packed his belongings, mounted his horse, and as he prepared to leave, Flora said, "Goodbye, Dustin. You will always be my son. Be safe."
"I will," Dustin promised.
To be continued.
