It was a Sunday morning, and the sound of bells ringing mixed with the lyrical sound of the choir echoed through the walls of the church Takemichi and his family was attending.

Lack of sleep, as usual, with his body suffering from a terrible fever after being out in the cold for too long just last week. Izana chastised him as soon as he regained consciousness when the mystery guy left him off at his residence.

He moans internally, he could hear Rindou and Ran nudging and cursing each other, unconcerned about the glances they were getting, after all, they were in a Catholic church.

Disrespectful—but amusing.

He has no idea why his brother's gang members are here with them, praying when they are completely doing the opposite. They were all causing a scene except for Izana and Him.

Why?

Because the glare in their mother's eyes indicated that they were being threatened. One wrong move and she'll use her claws to pinch you hard on your side. Painful and deadly.

"I still don't understand why I was brought here on deliberately," Takemichi says under his breath, clasping his hands together. He scowled as he heard his stepbrother chuckle beside him. "What?"

"If mom heard you, your ass getting beaten."

"The only ass getting whooped around here is yours and your friends," he said with a click of his tongue before nudging him and pointing behind him.

The Haitani's were tugging each other's hair, while Kakucho blessed himself for having a shaven head. Mucho, Mochi, and Shion stood nearby, silently cheering and putting bets on the three. Sanzu, the lone wolf, was creepily standing by the pillar with his masked on.

Takemichi swore he heard a few children cry just with his glare. Though, he often wonders, why he hadn't gone with Mikey as everybody else did...

Izana then faced him again, "Yeah, we don't know them." He plainly said.

"Perhaps you could immerse them in holy water, you know— wash the demons off of them." He sassed.

It wasn't long until the mass ended, prompting Takemichi to yawn as he waited beside the pews, waiting for his parents, who were speaking with some pastors.
