His brother had already warned him about the rise of gang activity, particularly amateur gangs that lurk in alleyways, causing havoc for innocent civilians and small children who pass through.
They were so active that there's a saying going around in Japan that says,

Maybe he should've listened to Izana for a change now that the thugs remain rampant around the streets, especially at night.
"Oi, We're talking to you! Are you deaf or what?! You're stepping on our turf!" they exclaimed, causing the other to flinch as he clutched his dainty hands-on Taiju's scarf, failing to return it to the old man.
He hasn't let the scarf out of his sight since he forgot to return it to the man, wearing it in every outfit despite the fact that it doesn't match his attire and has a strong scent that lingers around it.
Because if he ever did, he knows that Izana will straight up burn it.
'Ahhh, shit,' he said, closing his eyes in frustration and clenching his hands together to keep them from trembling. 'I'll just hit them with my bag and run.'
'You can do this! Izana thought you how to defend yourself!' He encourages himself before chanting a prayer for good luck.
"Hey, isn't he kinda familiar?" One of them asks.
"Now that you mentioned it, ain't he the pretty boy who's always with that Toman Gang and Tenjiku?"
Takemichi cursed under his breath, "Fuck." He's aware of the life he's able to eventually embark on, but he had no idea that despite keeping low and being protected by his — boyfriends and brother's gang, he'd actually pique the interest of others.
"Yeah! I now remember! Those blue eyes are pretty hard to miss." They chuckled.
"What should we do with him? It looks like he's frozen in his spot and won't move for quite some time."
