I didn't understand what it meant immediately but all of the sudden it hit me, Lili often received letters from an unknown person, she thought I haven't noticed but she was wrong, I knew... I knew where she hid the letters... What I did not know was what she was up to, and she acted like everything was fine, it was so frustrating seeing but not be able to act. (Complete!)
I quietly walk to her room, turned the doorknob then went inside, I needed to see, to understand what was happening, if they still sent letters then it may mean that they don't know she is not here let along she is missing. I was searching for information all around her room, but I ticked one important element: my name was also on the paper. The dizzy feeling, I was noticing taking place, got away when a hand took place on my shoulder. As I was turning a sharp pain made it's away on my lower back and breathing was getting a complicated task, my lungs were not able to fill up with oxygen and soon enough the lack made me pass out. My eyes slowly opened even if doing so was painful, I saw the room from a particular angle because I was laying down in the bare cold floor, an enormous pool of blood, my blood surrounded me still I was awake but paradoxically I couldn't move, I was way to weak even thinking was hard. I heard faint noises where Lili's desk is, I saw pieces of paper fly across the room some of them were soaked next to me full of blood. I didn't felt pain whatsoever but in fear of alerting the intruder that I am awake or even alive, so I did not move, I should be though. Dead I mean, this much loss of blood should have killed me, I don't know for how long I passed out nor the time but through the window I can see the stars in the dark sky and the shiny moon was illuminating the room, I never did turn on the lights but below the closed door I could see the gold reflection of the light bulb against the wooden floor. I was so deep in my thoughts that I almost forgot the whole situation, it was only when the person stopped touching and looking at everything that I reentered the reality, I could hear them mumbling there was not many things I could make out like: "Threats... Mourn... Escape... Stolen...". Not a really idealistic subject and other than that, the rest was pure nonsense to me like it was in another language maybe Latin for all I know! For a minute there is nothing but silence except the leaking sink in the bathroom upstairs or the wind blowing throughout the trees outside all around the house. The stranger was quiet and so was the house.
I couldn't focus on the stranger enough to make out a face, familiar or not. I don't know if it was me or they were not breathing, not a sound came out of them and the coldness of the room should have shown when they were exhaling but no, nothing but perfect silence. It was until out of thin air someone knocked at the front door, the intruder was as confused as I was seeing the way they walked up to the left of Lili's room on the edge of the now open window, just a peek outside was enough for them to close and step away from it, they walked to the door and stopped dead in their tracks. One... Two... Three... There were three knocks, after this it all went quiet again. At one of the corners, I caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a person, but not the average type of person very far from it, they were tall but not 2 meters tall like 3 or 4 meters! At least! I eyed the intruder but quickly realized that he is nowhere to be seen. Or that is what I thought but they proved me wrong by grabbing my ankle and dragging me from my cousin's room to the living room which is very close to the entry hall. Now I felt it, the pain, the one that was missing a few moment ago and it is now that I realize how big the issue is thanks to the better lighting, I can see my whole body at once and I don't only have a stab wound on my back, which is going to leave a nasty scar I can feel it, but along with it I have an enormous amount of bruises and cuts on my body and I didn't have to look around much to see the train of blood I am leaving behind. There was a knock once again but this time it was on one of the many windows upstairs, then back at the door, Lili's room window and even my room's window on top of that it was the same pattern for 5 minutes straight, like there was people in front of every single door/window waiting for their turn to slam their fist on the glass or wood for the simple goal to scare us. Well, congratulation I must say because it works, I am mortified.
I must have fainted considering that when I opened my eyes it is daytime, i look around frantically trying to get a hold on the last events of the past hours. Nothing moved or seems missing, so they were not here to steal my stuff. Just Lili's? What if he was after the letters too? I guess he did not find them since all the mirrors my cousin bought are shattered meaning they got infuriated and hit them, breaking every single one of them. Nothing other than this is out of place or broken. The pool of blood I am swimming is mostly dry not sure if it is good news or not, I should try and call an ambulance.
Zoé: Oh shit!
Moving doesn't seems to be an option, my body is on fire, the sudden pain made my head throb, and I am on the verge of throwing up but the only thing that comes out of my mouth is droplets of blood. There was no way I could get help in this state. As I thought every hope of me living more than an hour was dying, light footsteps resonated on the porch then keys turning in the lock, letting the door progressively open on a lady-like woman, she was wearing a beautiful long dress as white as a feather, she was as divine as a goddess. On her long tan brown hair was ornamented by a crown of white roses I couldn't see her face in the thick fog outside. She got closer to me and her arm that she hid until now was directly in front of her, grasping tightly a knife, she knelt to my level with the hem of her dress overflowing to her side and onto the ground even if she was a danger the sight in front of me was priceless. She was next to my leg and stabbed my thigh, the new feeling was painful and unbearable. No matter how much I tried to get away or see what she was doing, was hopeless. I think she removed something in the flesh of my leg, whatever it was she tossed it somewhere in the room. As she got up my vision got blurry and I felt dizzy for a second and quickly, I passed out and went into a dreamless sleep. I don't understand what is happening, but I have the feeling that...
I won't escape the consequences of Lili's actions.
