It had been 3 years since Phantom and Ghoul had been to Penumbra's home, back then Penumbra had invited them over for brunch after she had defeated Vanity Bolt for them. Phantom remembers how much he thanked her for getting rid of a 'problem' that had been chasing them for months. 3 years since the whole incident with Miss Heed happened, the time when all three of them along with more than the entire city had been brainwashed into becoming mindless followers for doing her binding against their own will. Man, 3 years go by fast when no one was chasing or brainwashing you.

Phantom and Ghoul planned to go over to Penumbra's home to check up on her and her baby. Recently Penumbra had given birth to a beautiful baby girl (although he personally hadn't seen her yet from what he heard the baby was a girl and was lovely), and he wanted to use that opportunity that he and Ghoul weren't on the run like usual to visit them. Phantom did feel pretty bad that he had shown up empty-handed to the first meeting; he was sure that he'd be able to talk to penumbra about bringing her a gift later on since both he and ghoul were short on money. Besides, he knew Penny wouldn't have a problem with that, she was perhaps the nicest person he had ever met to even think of getting upset over a gift.

"Don't you think that maybe she's busy with the new baby? Maybe we should've called her." Ghoul asked, thinking that maybe showing up uninvited was a bad idea

"Nonsense! People love surprises!" He exclaimed as he raised his hand to knock on the front door of Penumbra's home.

*Knock knock*

The door swung open and Phantom made a dramatic twirl with open arms expecting to embrace penumbra.

"He-"

"I just put Stella to sleep, I haven't slept more than 7 hours in the past 3 days and I'm exhausted so do not fuck with me."

To their surprise, it was none other than Sunblast who answered the door. He looked terrible, his hair was messy and tangled, he had not shaved his beard off and his eyebags were so dark and noticeable it was impossible to ignore them. If he thought Flug's eyebags were bad Sunblast could've gone shopping with those. Not to mention he looked like he hadn't slept in weeks, he had that grave look on his face that said I'm not in the mood today.

Both Phantom and Ghoul looked up to Sunblast who easily towered over both of them, he was about 2 feet taller than them.
He was wearing some gold-rimmed reading glasses, a long gray wool robe opened from the front, a pair of turquoise sweatpants, and a pair of white and orange socks. All while holding a cup of coffee in his right hand.

"What are you two doing here?" Sunblast asked in an unimpressed low voice.

"We came to visit penumbra and her baby" answered phantom.

"She's not here"

"What? What do you mean??"

"She's in the hospital!" Sunblast responded in an irritated voice, unhappy of having to answer phantom's questions.

"Oh". That's right, from what Pokerface had told him Penumbra had had a complicated labor that had knocked her off her feet and just couldn't afford to have her walking around taking care of a newborn baby.

"Still?! How long will she stay over there?" Phantom exclaimed.

"She's been on bed rest for 2 weeks so in about a week or so." Replied Sunblast and sighed heavily with a sad look on his face.

"Oh, uhh... well me and Ghoul wanted to see them but if they're not here maybe we can visit later..."

"Yeah..." Sunblast paused, hesitating whether he should say his next line or not.
"Well Penumbra isn't here but the baby is, you can come to see her. If you like...". Sunblast seemed doubtful but hoping he wouldn't regret his decision he stepped aside to let them in.
