The word that is put into
A three-word sentence
A sentence
It means everything
And nothing
It spills from the tongues
Of the young
The youth
Where that four-letter word
That three-word sentence
Meant something
And
Yet
Nothing
The pain
The aching it brings
It is the destroyer of souls
It has brought kings to their knees
It has led many into the dark
It has restored kingdoms
It is the rebirth of souls
Has brought light
And has made the weak
Strong
Tis miss used
It's misunderstood
Many have taken it out of context
Yet has never been corrected
Something the lonely wish to feel
The broken wish to
NEVER
feel again
The birth and the death
The devil and the angel
The word I wish was
Not a venomous lie
But a truth
A truth that was meant
A word that could restore my damned soul
The four-letter word
Love
The three-word sentence
I love you
What a painful lie....
