"Felix?" Jisung's sing-song voice slowly becomes louder as he walks inside the kitchen. He lets out a little 'oomph' when the heavy metal door hits his back. Felix checks Jisung to see if he's okay, then he titters when the other glares at the door and kicks it with his foot.
"Yeah?" Felix answers. Looking through the glass door of his oven.
"There's a box of macarons left at the cashier. I checked for a card or a note but nothing. What should we do with it?"
Jisung settles the small box of confectionery on the stainless steel table, and Felix glares at the innocent pink and white box of horror. His gut feeling tells him he knows exactly who 'left it'.
"What? What's wrong? Why are you looking at it like they're... burnt bread or something?"
"No note, right? It's nothing. You can just put it in the fridge in the meantime. Or do you wanna eat it now?" Felix nonchalantly answers.
"Eat it? But what if-? What if a customer left it to-to poison us?!" Jisung exclaims.
Felix shakes his head exasperatedly, and he scoffs in a little smile.
"They somehow knew we can never say no to food! Especially expensive sweets. And they're disguising our deaths in the form of sweet, expensive, macarons," Jisung exclaims and slaps his chest. Like he's patting his chest from pain, and slowly, melts on the side of the work table as he feels faint.
"Hannie, they're not poisoned." Felix promises. He leans on the cupboard as he mentally counts 30 seconds to check on his croissants again. Jisung rises from the ground and walks to Felix, sidestepping the box of sweets.
"How can you be sure?"
Felix looks at the box, then at Jisung, hesitant to react. So instead says- "It's macarons this week, huh?"
Jisung whips his neck towards Felix so fast, and he swears he heard his friend's neck snap.
"This week? You mean someone's been giving you macarons since Monday and you didn't know?" Jisung asks. Leaning on Felix for some answers.
"I had a photo shoot and couldn't come. I left the store to Innie and-"
"Ahem. Correction~," Someone starts from the back.
Jisung turns to the back door to find Seungmin carrying a sack of flour.
"Someone's been giving him macarons since Sunday. Our friend Lixie here is receiving macarons for 4 days in a row now," Seungmin points out.
"FO-FOUR? No wonder you were so sure it isn't poisoned." Jisung whisper-yells.
Felix takes the baked croissants out of the hot oven. He winces when the baking trays hit the kitchen counter with a clang. Totally unintentional, but his arms were starting to sore, and it still got Jisung's attention.
"You okay, baby?" Jisung asks worriedly.
"Yeah. Sorry. Just a little tired." Felix nods and beams to reassure Jisung he's fine and pinches his sore shoulder to tell him he's feeling a little tired.
"Hey, hey. I understand. It's okay."
Jisung walks to him and starts to squeeze his shoulders and arms for a massage. Felix leans backward and accepts it. At least Jisung is not pressing about it anymore.
"Thanks, Hannie."
"Lixie?"
"Hmm?" His voice starts to mellow and he lets out vibrating noises when Jisung thumbs at his back.
