The three make it inside of the classroom and head to their seats. The class is filled with students going around the room and talking to their friends. As Leah takes her seat she notices her friend Erin sitting next to her. "Lee lee, no time no see." Erin says as she turns to her left to face Leah. "Erin it's been so long, I missed you." Leah responds. "So how was your winter break?" "It was good." Erin responded. "Hope you don't mind me mentioning this, but." Leah says hesitating to ask. "How's it been going with you and Ashley?" "Oh its been great." Erin responded with a cheerful tone. Ashley is Erin's girlfriend. They started dating during winter break and they really seem to like each other. "I'm glad you guys are hitting it off so well." Leah says. "I'm proud of you for finding someone that you really like." "Thanks Lee lee." Erin says. "You really are a great friend. I'm glad I can have someone like you that supports me." "Aww c'mon." Leah says waving a hand in embarrassment. "You know I'll do anything for the people that I care about." "Speaking of relationships..." Erin says now side eyeing Leah. "I'm getting a vibe that you got a crush on little miss Max over there." "Well..." Leah hesitates scratching the back of her head. "Maybe I do like her." "I knew it. My gaydar senses weren't lying to me afterall." Erin says as she playfully elbows Leah in her arm. "Alright class!" An old like voice says coming from the classroom door. It was Mr. Mills, their science teacher. "Let's all get down to business and pull out our notebooks for today's notes." The class groans as they take out their notebooks and pencils. "You all can moan and groan all you want, but you're gonna need these notes for these upcoming quizzes." Mr. Mills says. "Now let's get started." After an hour of taking notes, class finally ends. While everyone is moving on to their next classes, Jacob stops at his locker to get a couple things before he heads off. As he's rummaging through his backpack, he couldn't help but notice that in the corner of his eye, a much taller guy was staring at him from the other side of the hallway. Just when he decided to turn around to look at him, the guy turns away as if he never looked at Jacob. "Hmm." Jacob said with a smirk on his face. "Well, well mister, looks like you're in luck today." Jacob walks over to the guy and taps him on the shoulder. When the guy turns around, Jacob was lost for words. The guy was tall, tan, had curly hair, hazel eyes, and a nose piercing on the left side of his nose. "Damn he's hot as hell." Jacob said in his mind. He ended up realizing that was just staring at the guy and not saying anything, then he clears his throat. "Sorry to bother you sir." Jacob says in a confident tone. "But I couldn't help noticing that you were staring at me from your locker. Is there something you need?" "Oh well I..." The guy speaks. "I just thought you looked really nice today and I couldn't help but look." "Oh really?" Jacob responds. "Well I'm flattered by your compliment sir, but I must ask." Jacob gets slightly closer to him trying to act cool. "What's your name cutie?" "Marcus." The guy says. "Well I'll be seeing you around Marcus." Jacob says as he walks off. When he gets further away from him, he let's out a huge sigh. "Jesus fucking christ." Jacob says holding his hand against his chest only to feel his heart pounding through his shirt. He calms down and heads off to his next class. "What took you so long?" Max said waiting on Jacob at the classroom door while Leah and Erin already went in. "I was just getting some stuff out of my locker." Jacob responds clearly not being honest. "Let's just go inside." Max says. (End of Chapter 2)
