After what happened the Alpha didn't beat on me or slapped me around instead he was kind of nice which was weird coming from him. I was nothing to this pack because that is how they viewed me. A lowly Omega. I had a pack. I had a family I had everything and hunters took that away from me. The Omega that they think is what made them think they had the right to tell me what to do and make me their slave. When the pack learned that I am pregnant and for the Alpha, they all changed along with their Alpha. I was work-free and I had them to my beck and call. They all did everything for me with scorn and some genuinely the only thing keeping them from doing what they wanted was the Alpha's baby inside of me.
Ironic really.
I requested to go for a walk and it was granted. I tried to run but I didn't get far. My wolf wouldn't let me shift because it was necessary so that I don't hurt the pup.
I was walking and saw the woods and I made a run for it but didn't get far enough.
" Harper!!! "
His voice boomed. His voice was enough for me to stop. I quickly thought of an excuse as I heard his footsteps coming towards me. I try not to flinch and kept calm. He spins me around gently and asked,
" What do you think you're doing there are rogues in the woods "
A hint of worry flashed in his eyes before they turned cold again. He cares for the pup I'm carrying. I went back with the Alpha without protest knowing that it would get me nowhere if I tried anything.
Three months passed and I still tried but being on foot wouldn't work I needed a car or an SUV anything to get me far away from this hell hole. The Alpha was furious with my attempts of trying to escape but he did nothing and I know the reason. I looked down at my belly which was now the size of a small pumpkin. I rubbed my belly and whispered,
" We'll get out of here very soon. "
I vowed.
When everyone was asleep I grabbed my little bag with money a change of clothes and snacks. I quietly walked down the hall and the stairs and down another hall where I found his office. He had the keys to all the vehicles there but I only had one in mind the SUV. I grabbed the keys and found the garage. I found the SUV quickly open the front seat tossed my bag inside and got in as I turned the keys and the lights came on there he was. How did he even know? I made sure to plan out everything as to not get caught but he was one step ahead of me. I shut the SUV off because I knew that I wasn't getting out of here. After my latest try at escaping the Alpha had guards posted outside by my window and in front of my room door. This room became my prison again just with an upgrade. I am now three and a half months along and the Alpha hasn't given me the slightest chance to be out of his sight since I attempted to escape twice. I didn't want this to be a mother, let alone carry the child of a monster. But no matter what the child is innocent and never asked to be part of this. From the time I saw that little bean on my sonogram, I knew that I would love and protect him or her with my life. The Alpha stayed glued to my side and before I knew it the days and months blurred together and my little pup was ready to make his entrance into the world. I checked into the hospital near the pack, luckily for me there are a few wolves that are working at the hospital, the doctor delivering my baby was a pack member who never cared to treat me when I got injured and I was a bit worried that she would be the one to kill me and keep my baby.
" Alpha everything is running smoothly. "
She said addressing only the Alpha like I wasn't in the room.
" Good. "
That was all he said and then he looked at me. His face turned cold and then he spoke,
" You are not needed to raise my child your Luna will do that for you. "
He said.
" What? "
I asked shocked.
" You heard me! "
He snapped.
" You can't take my child away from Xavier!! "
I screamed.
He grabbed hold of my shoulders and shook me. He then leaned in near my ear and whispered,
" Harper is careful about stressing yourself you might not make it. "
I look at him in horror as my heart monitor sped up. The heart monitor was beeping so fast that I felt my heart in my throat. Does that monster want to keep my baby? I played what he said over and over in my head. After taking what I kept for my mate away from me he wants to take my child?
I was losing consciousness with each passing second. I fought with my eyelids as I held my belly. My heart speeds up as everything became blurry and all I heard was his words playing in my head over and over as everything went black.
