"You aren't really leaving, Are you?"  You had said. Looking at oikawa, Longing to feel him hug you, hold you one last time.

His bags had been packed for days. You just sort of stared at him. A sad and dejected look in your eyes.  He hadn't even told you until a few days ago. He was studying in case he needed a back up plan he said. Although he never told you for what. I guess you knew now. All because of a stupid sport. He was leaving you over his beloved sport. And you couldn't go with him. He told you he didn't want you to stop him from reaching his full potential. And to do that He had said he needed zero distractions. I guess you were one of them. Huh.

" I am. I'm sorry Y/n, I love you. I never meant to hurt yo-"

" Save it Oikawa. I'm done. Starting today we're done. You're moving to Argentina, and I'm staying here. In Japan." You spoke sternly. Although truly you were breaking down inside.

You looked at his heartbroken and dejected face. The words you had just spoken were so harsh. He'd never seen you like that. So lost, so confused.. So heartbroken. He decided it would be best to just leave and not come back. Perhaps one day you would reach out to him. He could fly back once he had enough money and had finally made it to the olympics. He could get you back? Right? He hoped so. Despite not wanting to leave he knew it was for the best. So he grabbed his bag, called his big sister, and went to the airport. Leaving you there.

You didn't know what to do. Perhaps you were just shocked. Very shocked.  The first thing you did was call Iwazumi. Maybe he could help you, he knew Oikawa better than anyone.
     "hey."

      " Y/n, what's up? I haven't heard from you in a while?"

"Hajime, Oikawa got into Argentina's volleyball team." You tried to keep your voice as normal as possible.

" Oh y/n that's great! You and him will love it there. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new life!"

"He's not taking me Hajime.. He's not taking me and I broke up with him. He left with his sister. I don't think he's coming back he had a flight today."

"WHAT? Shittykawa's leaving and he didn't tell me, he's not taking you? When I see him again I'm gonna beat his ass."

" There's no need for that Hajime. It's alright. He doesn't need any more distractions. I just want him to be successful. That's all he's ever wanted. I may be sad, but I'm not going to hold him back."

" Y/n you really are an idiot just like him. But if you really want to just let him go, I suppose I'll let you."

" Thank you Hajime."  you hung up the phone. You needed to cry. Scream. Sob. Anything to get these emotions out.

You cried. For hours. Screamed into your pillows. You even smashed a mug on the floor angrily when you realized it was the one oikawa had bought for you from a small shop you enjoyed going to. You would probably regret that later. However after throwing all the ceramic in the trash you decided sleep was best.

You couldn't fall asleep. You tried so hard. For weeks. you had to take melatonin to even get a few hours. It just wasn't the same without him next to you. During those weeks you had began to feel sick. Every morning you'd wake up and scramble to the bathroom vomiting. This wasn't normal. You decided to take a pregnancy test. To your absolute complete horror, it was positive. Not only had your boyfriend left you for Argentina. But he left you with a kid. There was no way in hell he was going to be happy about that. Not only is a child a lifelong commitment, it's a Huge distraction. You called all your friends, and most importantly Iwazumi to tell them the news. Hajime was beyond ecstatic. He offered to help raise the child his best friend had left you with. After all he now had a stable job as the athletic trainer for Japan's volleyball team.

You graciously accepted his help. You knew you would need it. Besides he had made the friends boundary very clear, and wanted to be referred to as Uncle Hajime by your child.

"Y/n they're gonna call me Uncle Hajime, it'll be great. I always wanted to be one but I have no siblings."

" Ah, Hajime I think that's a wonderful idea. why don't we turn Oikawa's old workout room into the nursery. You know how to paint right?"

He nodded, and over the next week or two you had painted a gender neutral nursery while you were more mobile than you would be in upcoming months.

as another month passed your stomach was getting bigger. The 12 week appointment would reveal your baby's gender. Hajime went with being your closest friend. It was a boy! Hajime congratulated you. You were overjoyed. He was going to be perfect. You just hoped he didn't resemble his father. Or take after him. You didn't need to go through calling a girls parents because he broke up with their child. Alas you were happy nonetheless. However he would come out the spitting image of his father besides his hair color.

Your morning sickness was gone by now. You were terrified. Giving birth without the person you loved the most was a challenging thing. He had promised he was gonna be there for every big event. Although you'd supposed Argentina had ruined that.

A few more months had passed. the 39 week mark. You went into labor. Hajime was there for you the whole time. He had to make up for shittykawa being well, shitty somehow.

Although at the time Oikawa was in argentina training for the olympics, he had zero idea his ex was having his son. Hajime had neglected to tell him anything. It wasn't his business anyways. He was out of your life. He had made that choice by leaving you in the first place. Perhaps he had wished he had made a different choice. but he couldnt change the past. So Oikawa just decided he'd try and see you at Japans 2021 Olympics.

After your child was born you decided to name him Haruto. Since he was born in the spring.

2021 came fast. You had tried dating throughout the 5 years Oikawa was gone, but it never felt right. None of the men were good dads to Haruto. He was 5 now. Summer had approached, and preschool had ended. Hajime was being a good best friend. He was also trying to juggle his job and raise a Haruto with you as well. Haruto called him Uncle Hajime. And it was really nice for a while. Then june hit. The olympics. Hajime was coming home later. You two had moved into his 3 bedroom apartment together. One for you, one for your son, and a room for Hajime. This was a little troubling, as it removed a sense of normalcy for Haruto. His uncle was coming home later, and some days you two wouldn't see him at all.

You decided to take Haruto out to play volleyball. Although you weren't very good at it yourself, he excelled. He was already able to receive balls. He was doing amazing. Although he reminded you a lot of oikawa, he looked more like you. And he didn't seem to have a interest in breaking girls hearts.

You noticed a handsome stranger walking in the park. He seemed to be wearing blue clothing with a countries name on it. He appeared to be going for a run. Despite taking small interest in him, your son quickly took your attention again when he hit you in the face with a volleyball. With a singular hand. The stranger had stopped. he looked in your direction.

You held your head. Damn that had hurt. You looked to Haruto who was laughing.  The stranger walked over.

" That was quite a nice shot little man, mind telling me where you learned that?"

Your son had looked at the stranger awestruck. You looked at him, then the stranger. he was wearing sunglasses, but they seemed to be prescription. His hair was brown and fluffy, and he had an unforgettable smile. But besides that he seemed to be truly surprised that your son had done that.

" Go on Haruto, tell him mommy taught you that!" You said pride filling your heart. You took a closer look at the strangers Jacket. Argentina. Hm sounded familiar. But that was no matter. Haruto was giggling and the stranger had offered to toss a few balls to him. You promptly agreed and then he introduced himself.

" Oikawa Tooru. "
