Mysta's POV

We were now standing in front of the entrance to the deeper end of the park, which is one place I love walking in every once in a while. There was an arch with white flowers covering it as an entryway, its petals looking immaculate. I turn to notice Vox taking a look at his surroundings. He smiled softly, if only I could imagine how he feels at this moment in time.

"Well, shall we head in?" Vox asked me. "Yeah, let's go," I said as we took our first steps past the archway and into the most beautiful part of this park. Once inside, we were greeted with stone statues of doves facing each other. All around us, the sounds of birds chirping to their own melodic tunes went on, the trees swaying softly left and right.

We ventured forth deeper into a mysterious but tranquil atmosphere when I realized the umbrella, I was sheltered under was no longer above me. I turned around to see Vox knelt down in front of a bed of white and red colored roses. I walked over to him and knelt down beside him.

"Do you ever take the time to just truly enjoy how natural some things are, Mysta?" Vox said without turning his attention away from the roses. I knelt there thinking for a moment. "Sometimes I do," I say. He closed his eyes and smiled. "It's very calming, helps you get away from whatever you may be going through."

I direct my eyes towards the man, watching his movements. I could tell that Vox enjoys this, a major change of pace than what he was situated in before. I smiled, glad that he's found that here. Hell might not have been it for him, but here in the human world, he definitely belongs here.

"Apologies, shall we keep going?" Vox asks, standing up. "Of course," I say, standing up and returning to my position under his umbrella. We continued on our walk, silence between the two of us until we came to a fork in the path. Apparently, both paths lead to the same place but it's the things you see along the way that will differ.

There's a "long but scenic" path towards the left and a "short but limited" path pointing right. "Well...up to you, Vox, which way do we go?" I turned towards Vox, who stood there thinking about his choices. "If we go the short way, we'll get there quicker, but are limited to all of the sights of this part of the park. However, if we take the longer way, we'll get more time to explore all of the wonders that are still out here," Vox said, giving it some more thought before finally deciding.

"I think it'll be best if we go down the left path, Mysta," he said. I smiled and nodded. "Well then, lead the way," I said as we began down the left path, which was a sort of enclosed space with white lights illuminating the walls. I looked up and noticed some small hanging lights shaped like birds.

"So, Mysta," Vox began. "What's it like being a mortal living here?" I continued looking up at the lights as I thought about what I wanted to say. I want to keep this as real as possible without scaring him into thinking that it's not as he currently sees it.

"Well, living here has its pros and cons, but sometimes, it's just how the world operates. You never know what'll happen the very next time you wake up, if you wake up. You have to just accept the pros as well as the cons and live your life to the fullest extent of what it can and should be. You also shape the mortal realm into what it could be just by your actions. Taking your actions into effect, your experience here could be affected by it. One little mishap could easily shape your entire experience until the day you die," I say, possessed by the light's glare.

"It can be a realm for you to belong in, you just have to make the best of what's given and add your own flair to it," I said. I finally looked down to see Vox standing directly in front of me, listening quietly and observing me.

"Well, Mysta, so far the mortal realm has been a pleasant experience to me, and it's all because of you. I ascended to seek serenity and so far, it's already everything I could've ever wanted. You're a very kind being, and I absolutely am grateful for everything you have done for me so far," Vox said, taking a step closer to me.

My eyes widened. Before I knew it, I noticed Vox's arm reach out towards my face, hand finally resting at my cheek, caressing it slowly. I was frozen in place. His hand was very soft, and I don't know why, but it's very relaxing. Just what the hell was this? And why am I not doing anything about it?

Third Person POV

Mysta stood there, taken aback by Vox's actions. The demon stood there and smiled, "Mysta, I'm very glad to have been able to cross paths with you. You are a very smart person and a very kind soul," Vox said in a deep but calm voice, inching his face closer to Mysta's, the fox letting out a quiet gasp.

He couldn't move, he couldn't speak. The fox was frozen in place by the calmness of the demon, their faces inches apart. This was the closest eye contact the either of them has had with each other in their short time since they've met.

Vox slowly steps back to his original position, smiling. Mysta, who was still standing there, snapped out of whatever thoughts he was having, his face still a blushing mess. "Shall we get going, Mysta? The best is yet to come," Vox said, putting the umbrella over his head once more and slowly walking away.

Mysta quickly gathered himself and his thoughts as he shook his head and caught up to Vox. Neither of them was able to bring themselves up to talk about what just happened. Mysta looked down, trying to get rid of the blush on his face as they both advanced closer to the end of the path.

Vox's POV

If I am to be completely honest, I don't know what I just did, nor why I didn't do anything to stop it. What on earth was this feeling that came over me that made me want to do this? But I will say, seeing Mysta's face like that is very cute.

The rest of the walk was quiet, not one of us dared to bring up what just took place. I turned to see Mysta's head down, but I wasn't gonna make too much of a deal about it. We finally arrived at the end of the path to find 2 doors in front of us and a painting on the wall next to Mysta.

"Well, we're here," I said as Mysta's head jerked up at the sound of my voice. "W-well, that's good," Mysta said as he turned his head in the direction of the thing that's had my attention for a few seconds now.

The painting was of the 2 doves we saw back at the entrance in full color, their faces coming together to form a heart. Mysta's eyes then diverted its attention back to me. My eyes meet his in a moment of stillness. We both nod our heads as I open the door, the both of us stepping inside and shutting the door behind us as we enter the most secluded area of the park.
