Your mom was patiently standing outside the door when you and Lev pulled up to the resturant. As you got closer you noticed her face quickly contort into a smile as she looked over Lev. It had been a while since you saw your mother genuinely smile, probably not since you graduate highschool with honors. You couldn't help but feel a little angry at her.

"Hey mom! Sorry if we kept you waiting."
You threw on a smile and sweetly spoke to your mother whose eyes were glued on Lev. You cleared your throat to get her attention before gesturing to Lev.
"This is.... my boyfriend... Lev Haiba."

Lev looked over at you with a smile briefly before extending his hand towards your mother.
"It's and honor to meet you ma'am."

You mother giggled like the many people who interacted with Lev did before taking his hand.
"Oh my.... such a handsome man... I've seen you somewhere before aswell..."

Lev awkwardly laughed and nodded at her.
"More then likely but we really should get into the restaurant before our reservation passing."
He spoke as he retracted his arm and headed into he restaurant.

Your mom still watched him with a gleeful smile on her face. You rolled your eyes at her before heading in after Lev.

It didn't take you long to be seated at your table. Your mom's eyes still glued on Lev, it was starting to get annoying at this point.
"So what's your job.... Lev..."
You mother insisted once again

"Well I work with your child as a model. I actually... kinda discovered them before they were a model."
Lev laughed and nudged you lightly, attempting to lighten your mood.

"Yeah... spilt coffee on me before my interview."
You forced a smile as you looked over at Lev.

"Oh how sweet.... where did you get your suit..."
Your mom reached across the table to feel a bit of Levs sleeves fabric. On instinct you slapped your mom's hand away before looking over at her. You cleared your throat, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Remember mother. We should never touch someone without consent. You taught me that."
You tired to cover for your actions.

"Well I just-"

"We got both our outfits from a store he knows well."
You interrupted your mother, answering the question she originally intended for Lev.

Your kosher leaned back in her seat, her arms folded over her chest as she flared at you.
Were you... jealous... of your mother...
Or just angerly at how he was treating him in general. She was married to your father still too??? And was flirting with your boyfriend????

Lev smirked slightly as he watched you speak. He'd be lying if he didn't admit he was enjoying how your were acting.

"So.... um... mom... how is the hotel?"
You struggled to keep the conversation afloat after your own rude behavior, your eyes darting between your mom and Lev

"No. Apologize."
Your mother demanded. You and set her off. The one thing you parents held higher then tradition it was Manners.

You deeply sighed before nodding your head at your mother. Your meek behavior that you usually had in front of your mother disappearing.
"I'm sorry for being rude... mother and Lev..."

"Don't apologize babe..."
Lev gently took your hand in his, causing a corner of your lips to form into a smile a but. Why were you jealous again?

"Tch. Anyways... the hotel was fine. Would be much better if I could stay at my child's place."
Your mother resumed conversation like bathing had just happened.

The waiter arrived a few moment into diner conversation to gather your orders before heading off. Diner conversation was dry, mainly consistenting of your mother asking Lev questions.

Moments after the Waiter left Lev stood from his spot and straightened out his suit.
"Well my dears. I must go to the washroom but I shall be back."
You exchanged a small smile with Lev before he disappeared to the find the bathroom.

As soon as Lev was gone your mother quickly turned to you and finally spoke to you outside of scolding.
"Marry him! Marry him and your family honor will be restored. We will welcome you home-"

"No!"
You quickly responded to you mother with wide eyes.
"I mean I like him but... Being welcomed home early means nothing to me coming form you...."

Your mother stared wide eyed at you as you slowly leaned across the table.
"And whatever bullshit you are doing stop it! It's pissing me off. I'll tell dad that his wife if flirting with his kids boyfriend. See how that goes for your future divorce."
You growled at your mother as you leaned backing you chair you were done with her bullshit. You were tired of the family beucracy and hopes you had to jump through with them.

The few seconds you waited for Levs return was dead silent. The look on Levs face told you even he could feel the weird tension in the air.
"Hey.... I miss anything...?"

"Nothing. I'm getting a bottle of wine. Want any?"
You looked over at Lev with a straight face as you summoned a waiter.

"Uh sure thing....."
Lev hesitantly replied you, both weirded out and concerned.

The rest of diner conversation your mom stayed dead silent so you and Lev talked... and you drank. Eventually diner was over and you insisted on paying, which only weirded Lev out more seeing as though he would usually.

You and Lev greeted you mother goodbye at the door before going to split from her. However, you and Lev sat in silence for a moment before he turned to you.
"Did I miss something..."

"I gave up... and am no longer apart of my family. Probably disowned. Wanna celebrate more?"
You smiled as you leaned over and kissed Levs check.

Lev had a fairly functioning relationship with his parents so he was even more worried. Without another word though he started the car and simply asked.
"What are you feeling for a drink?"
He figured if you got drunk enough you'd talk about it anyways....
