Author's POV

After dropping Yibo, Zhan went to his house and both went to their rooms. That night both cried silently without being noticed by anyone and both didn't eat anything. Zhan because again he was only Yibo's best friend, nothing more or less and Yibo because his only best friend fall in love with him.

Next day, both tried their best to behave normal but their friends could easily see that something is wrong between them.

Yibo had his best friend with whom he shared his feelings about Zhan and his friend was caretaker at his uncle's house, who look after at their house, cook meals and also he lived with them as he didn't have any family member.

He asked Yibo if there was anything wrong. Firstly Yibo denied that all is okay but later he had tell him because Yibo got high fever after that confession.

Why he had fever out of nowhere because there is reason whenever Yibo feel stressed and has tension. His body felt weak and got fever easily because he can't tolerate anything extreme whether emotionally or physically. He sleeps alot whenever he feels low and having any kind of problem and afterward he become normal but sometimes only for few months.

He got fever because he was not ready to accept this truth. On the other hand, Zhan tried to talk to him. But because of Yibo's condition he didn't said anything because he knows very well that's how Yibo becomes whenever he is fighhting with himself and have any trouble. So, he didn't showed himself to him and ask about his condition to his friends and to Yibo's family.

After that, time passed, they started talking with each other and played with each other along with their friends.

As Yibo's birthday was near and everyone was preparing for gifts and surprise by his family and friends. Finally, the day came and as usual Zhan was first to wish him and then his father. There was grand party afterall it was also occasion to have strong bonds with other businessmens and other well known personalities of the town. Everyone was enjoying.

Then all friends decided to play games just like old days when they were kids. Like hide and seek, ice and water, janjeer (chains) and some other games. Like old days, all friends were enjoying including Zhan and Yibo.

Also, when it was Zhan's turn to play in janjeer(chain's game) he choosed firstly to run after Yibo and the reason was very simple because he can get chance to hold hand with Yibo and after few minutes he caught Yibo and then he caught others one by one and one long chain formed to catch the last player. It was fun game for them.

After this, they played hide and seek, Zhan and Yibo hide together in upper part of the cupboard and there was no chance that someone would look and they stayed there till the end and was got caught by the other player in the end. Firstly, Yibo was hiding there and when Zhan saw that Yibo hiding there. He thought to hide somewhere else but Yibo gave his hand to come over and hide. Thus, both ended up together. But it was also hard for Zhan because he wanted to hug and give kisses Yibo, he held himself because of fear to lose his Yibo.

It was turn to play ice and water, everyone was running here and there in playground and one who has to catch all the players was running behind them so that he can end his turn because it was hard to catch all the players and turn them into ice. He was running after Yibo but somehow Yibo collasped and fall hard on concrete floor and his both knees had injury because the surface was hard even his jeans was torn. (Based on my own experience 🙂 it was very hard to walk as it was winters and that day was birthday 🤣).

Zhan was on the other side of playground when he saw Yibo and run towards him but before he reached to help Yibo. The other guy helped him to stand and helped him to walk but Yibo was not able to walk and then Zhan came and picked him up in bridal style and took him to his room. Everyone was little surprised by his action but no one said single word but there was two friends of them who were happy for them as they both knows how much both means to each other but one is being stubborn, not accepting his own feelings.

Yibo's father came in room to ask what happened and then Zhan told him how he got injury. Yibo's father called the doctor but before doctor came. Zhan gently cleaned his wounds so that he don't get any infection and don't feel any pain.

While cleaning his wound Zhan was also scolding Yibo because how careless he becomes whenever he starts playing. Its not first time it happened before this, many times same thing had happened him getting wounds and then his sulking like he did nothing wrong and he was not careless. Even now Yibo was sulking because Zhan was scolding him for nothing according to him. Zhan also scolded him for looking beautiful because according to him, this happened because he was looking beautiful and evil eyes worked on him thats why he ended up with deep wounds on his birthday. (like Indian moms whenever you look beautiful and then something bad happens with you. They will go like this was meant to happen because of cast of evil eyes on you).
