Accusations

One of the most asphyxiating and imprisoning tasks is proving that which has no proof. It is much simpler to disprove a theory on the mere fact that there is no evidence. Easier to accuse those not protected with an alibi, their perspex guard effortlessly overlooked.

So, what is innocence? The state in which one is free of guilt. But what is it truly? To be innocent, you must be irreproachable. Faultless. The virtue must be built, crafted into the person themselves. To be innocent, therefore, is to be excellent.

'We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.'. There will be a type of person; one who ambles through every obstacle in life, with the laudable notion that they will follow their heart. They rely on the probable chance that they may succeed at surpassing the boulder ahead. But these people will be harshly overtaken by those who have acquired the skills required, the tactics they would need to correctly overcome the inevitable barricade.

The maladroit perspective of a certain few will achieve all, or nothing. Probability is not always kind to us, therefore, to be dependent on it is to pivot into a vacuum of psychologically nail-biting uncertainty. There is no buttress of stability, for there is no basis to trust.

Accusations cannot be false; only altered. We trust habits; the habit of a serial killer? To kill. The habit of a marauder? To steal. They are excellent in the skills they have obtained. Intentions are irrelevant. The ones who refine their skills will excel over those who do not.

The brutal truth about humans is that, regardless of society or laws, or political correctness, survival will come to those who know how to survive. A lack of thereof is inexorable failure. Every being possesses inextinguishable potential, although the probability that this potential will always be in their favour is slim.

'We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.'

Quote by Aristotle.
