helpless | " let me take care of you for once."
warnings? slightly mature, angst
note? this is part one of two.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
third person povsu-hyeok was lying down on the cold floor of his family home playing this phone, waiting for the rest of his friends to comeback. they were all crashing at his house for a sleepover. the group had been settling in for a movie night when they realized he didn't have many snacks.
after some deliberation, half of them agreed to go while the rest stayed back to continue setting up. hours later, the group that stayed behind had completed their task but the others still weren't back yet.
su-hyeok sits up, checking the time on his phone. 2136.
odd.
he turns to the class president sitting across him,
"isn't it weird that they aren't back yet?"
"yeah, the convenience store is pretty nearby to your house? they shouldn't be taking this long."
the sound of the lee house doorbell broke through their worried conversation. jimin stood came out from the kitchen but the door bursted open before she could. the group rushing in. panicked.
looking over all their panting faces, suhyeok noticed something.
...
someone's missing?
"yah on-jo where's-"
"cheong-san and wu-jin are missing!!"
🍃
thats how the group is now running around the neighborhood trying to find their missing classmates. convenience store team explained that wu-jin ran back to the store because he claimed he left something behind and cheong-san being the hero he is followed after him. su-hyeok physically scoffed at the tendencies of his friend.
the two hadn't arrived back after 20 minutes and when the team went back to the store, the owner had claimed he never saw them come back.
su-hyeok turned another corner of his neighborhood when he heard talking. he slows down, careful not to make any sudden noises as he tries to find the source. finally, he finds the alleyway, peering a head over to see into it. if he acted on instinct, he was certain something worse could happened to his friends.
cheong-san was on the floor, slumped up against the wall of the alley. a bruise already forming on is usually pale cheeks. a few feet from him wu-jin lays... unconscious?
at least su-hyeok hopes so. stood at his feet are two guys that su-hyeok knew cheong-san could easy beat up. despite that, a memory flashed through his head of their previous conversation. after dinner, su-hyeok had found cheong-san in his kitchen alone, leaned over his sink.
"cheong-san! are you okay?"
the boy weakly shakes his hand at him over his shoulder, turning on the sink to wash away the last of his now thrown up dinner,
"i'm fine, just a little under the weather. probably a stomach bug, nothing too serious."
su-hyeok took in the exhausted look on his face, slightly suken cheeks and eye bags more prominent under his eyes.
