Welcome to my first ever Larry fic. All of this is purely fiction and something I came up with and is not related to any real person or event. Enjoy!

Harry and Louis aren't quite fond of each other. They actually despite the presence of the other one. But since they happen to live on the same floor in the student housing, they ended up in the same group of friends. Fate can be a bitch.

Harry wanted to give Louis a fair chance at his first day on Campus, but Louis was an ass immediately.
Harry's eyes catch Louis in a matter of seconds, that butt is just an eyecatcher. Harry is a simple gay man with a preference for bums. Combined with those blue eyes who could blame Harry for developing a small crush right on the spot.

Louis saw Harry moving in, hands full with his last moving boxes that are filled with green and blooming plants and records, of all the old bands and artists he enjoys. He embodies everything that Louis doesn't like and so he can't help himself but to make a rude comment to his friend. Intentionally too loud to be a whisper.

"I just can't stand all these new ones marching in, with their plants and records. Thinking that they will not end up like every other student eating store brought Mac and cheese while wondering when the last time was that they watered their plants."

Harry looks at Louis. Their eyes meet. Green meets blue. Sounds like the start of a cheesy rom-com? Yes, technical but well... both looks were filled with pure disgust.

Back in Holmes Chapel, were Harry grew up, everyone was nice and friendly, but meeting Louis before being fully moved in, made him realize that going to University will be a different experience.

The same night Harry went into the kitchen to prepare his first meal - a beetroot salad with chickpeas and pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top. He was just about done as someone else came in.

"Hi, I'm Niall. I'm new here and just started university. I'm studying literature. What about you?"

The boy, or as he now knows Niall, has one of the brightest smiles Harry had ever seen and his whole aura matched that happy face. Harry is glad to see a friendly face.

"Nice to meet you Niall. I'm Harry, I'm new as well and am going to study sociology and philosophy. Where are you from?"

As he spoke he decided that he was gonna eat his salad in the kitchen, instead of taking it back to his room- hoping that Niall was staying as well and they could chat for a while. Harry knows that this was a person he would love to be friends with. Niall tells him that he is from Ireland and they start chatting about their hometowns, till both were done with their food and even afterwards.

"It was very nice to meet you Harry. Let's exchange numbers so we can meet again! I like you already!"

"It was my pleasure. I'd love to."

Harry entered his number into Niall's phone before saying "I hope to see you soon."

This day lays back 17 months.

Since then Harry hung out with Niall nearly every day. Having Niall as a friend was a huge pro, because everyone liked him so they were invited to a lot of parties and met very interesting people. After a few weeks it was a group forming around them, who all live on the same floor. Most of them he actually liked, especially Liam and Zayn. But hanging out with Niall also meant hanging out with his self choosen mentor- Louis Tomlinson.

The first time Niall mentioned that name Harry was excited to meet him, since Niall only spoke in the highest tones of him but as soon as Louis Tomlinson stepped in the bar that was over.
Harry remembers him. He is the boy or should he say men that made a stupid comment on his first day.
Louis was always invited, so they hung out multiple times a week. That didn't mean that they ever spoke though. Not ones, if it was possible to avoid. And if they spoke to each other it ended in a power play, no one enjoyed but them. Harry had no idea why Louis refused to talk to him. Neither of them felt the urge to tell the others why they don't like each other. It was just common knowledge and no one asked after a while.

All they ever said when getting asked was "He's just not the person I'd like to hang out with if it wasn't for the group." "I don't like his vibe.".

It wasn't a problem for Harry that they didn't get along. Especially not since he met Nick.

Nick was introduced to him by Liam and they hit it off right away. Nick is studying sport and media to become a teacher. Liam met him in a café and thought Harry and him would hit if off. Nick has a smile Harry could get lost in, which he realised in the first minutes of meeting him.

After talking for the whole time at a party off somone Niall is friends with, Nick asked him out. Harry could not belive his ears but said yes immediately.

For their first date they went to grab dinner in a posh Italian restaurant and went for a three hour walk afterwards. 2 weeks later they were offical boyfriends. Harry was glad to have soemone who was exclusivly his. So when ever the boys wanted to hang out in Louis room Harry decided he can't join them because he has a date with Nick, his boyfried who is more important. Nick quickly becomes Harry's first love. Not that he ever shared his feelings with hose words. His parents got divorced as he was still a little kid, so Harry does not really believe in those words. Scared that the person leaves if they feel overwhelmed with the love the other one is giving. Harry had some boyfriends or flirts before in highschool but no one ever got him like Nick did. Harry daydreamed about a future with Nick more often than he likes to admit.

Harry wanted to surprise Nick for their one year anniversary and went to his apartment, which was off campus. That's when all of this mess started.
