So I have been nominated by my friends Fuse360 and nberry34 to do the 90 words #NoMoreBullying challenge where you write in 90 words what you think about bullying and what should be done about it but as this is a serious matter and also a ranting book, I think it deserves more than that, so here we go.
I have never really been a victim of bullying before, I don't think, if I have, it wasn't serious and/or I never realised or thought of it as me being bullied. But lots of people have, are and will and we need to stop that! Whether it's physical or cyber it is serious and should not be ignored by anyone. If you are being bullied there is always something you can do about it, by just ignoring or pretending it's not happening or thinking if you don't do anything about it they'll go away it normally makes it worse, because it usually doesn't stop. People get hurt and depressed physically and physiologically and it's everyone's job to try and stop it, the quicker you tell someone, the quicker it will stop.
Most people don't tell their friends, family or teachers because they're scared and have normally been threatened by the bully. These will normally be empty threats and they cannot attempt to hurt you once you've told someone as they can't overlook this and will come up with a solution and it will not continue.
It is especially easy on social media to get rid of the horrible people online. You can block, mute and even report people which stops others from communicating with you who are not being nice. If you tell the social media why you are reporting them as well they can take them off the site. If this keeps on happening then you can delete your account which should definitely stop them from reaching you again. In fact, some sites can even detect when someone is bullying someone else and so this can also take them off the site. And it's not like these buttons are hard to find anyway whether it's Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. It's right under your fingertips so don't hesitate! MUTE, BLOCK AND REPORT!
Sometimes people who are bullying don't realise the are. It's okay to have a 'banter' every now and then but if they don't take it as a joke and its a repeated offence with no appreciation and are always mocking then this is bullying. It is also when they take advantage of you, normally in schools this is stuff like taking their homework and copying it or handing it in as their own, making the other person do their homework for them or if they bring in something fancy, expensive or special it could be taking, using or damaging the object. You may not realise it but these things get very upsetting! I have heard many tales of children/teenagers committing suicide from being bullied about their insecurities, weaknesses an individuality.
Let me tell you something, if you are a victim of bulling, do NOT kill yourself. That's kind of what they want! If they are picking on you for being different and unique, that's not a flaw, it's not your fault that you may look, sound think or behave differently to them and it's not a bad thing! Be grateful that you don't have the same bitterness in your heart that this bitch or bastard has. They are weak!
Now even though bullying is a horrible thing, its not always meant on purpose, whether this is a joke that they really didn't meant o make offensive or if its the result of something happening or that has happened to them in the past. Some people bully others to try and hide how damaged they are and if you look inside of them, right to the bottom of their soul, their is normally a deeper reason than "He's black!" or "Her face is distorted!" If you commit suicide you're telling the world the bully won, your running from what could so easily be defeated. If you carry on with your life it shows you are strong and you can live with the things others can't without being mean.
So when you fight back at a bully remember:1) Don't make it a physical fight.
2) Act strong and proud and don't let anything they say that is meant to be hurtful affect you.
