One wrong move

The halls seemed empty by the time I got out. It's eerily quiet. So quiet the only footsteps I hear are mine. I decide to let it slide and make my way downstairs.

As soon as I'm near homeroom 2A, I think I hear paisley and...Mr King speaking. "What are you doing here," Mr King asks. Without alerting the two, I hid behind a door and listened.

"I was here.... Cause... my bag..." Paisley stutters, and attempts to show what she came to the classroom for.

"Well don't do it again," he says, voice reverberating my whole spine. That's the first time I've seen him this mad. I only catch a glimpse of what looks like dried blood on his shirt before I have to leave.

Paisley walked up to us right before we drove off and said, "You guys be careful. Mr King... Got fired... He got involved sexually with a student of his..."

  "What do you mean?"

She played with the edge of her shirt for awhile and sighed. "He was sending inappropriate pictures to her. And she.... did report him and stuff. He was fired. And I don't think he will be too happy that... and about... Jane..."

"Thanks, Paisley... stay safe?"

She just nods and we drive off. Kyle asks what that was about and I tell him, "We should tread lightly with this... Mr. King's mood is a ticking time-bomb."

For the rest of the ride back to the hotel, we were silent. Our week was filled with just that: silence. And then the flight back was also uneventful. We all had one thing on our minds: Mr King. And we all had one question: Did he also do the same thing to Jane? And why did I see blood on his shirt? Is he the one that did the unthinkable to her?

So many questions, and so little time for answers. Once we were back in our homeland, I decided to knock his door.

Mr. King's house wasn't too far, and I drove there without Kyle nor Jake's knowledge. My phone was ringing nonstop so I switched it off for now. Here we go. Time to face the music.
