(Lance pov.)

   "Ughhhh, its so cOlD" I groaned into hunks shoulder "Man tell me bout it" he buried his face with some odd fluffy blanket he found in Allura's room. Always snooping through peoples stuff  I thought rolling my eyes. you see it is below 40 inside the castle and I'll tell you why! through flashbacks!

 Allura had called all of us up to the control room, so I was sauntering through the halls wearing only my jacket and sweatpants I MEAN can you blame me?! I was woken from my beauty sleep for this 'emergency so I didn't have enough time to get dressed fully. I finally got to everyone "HEYYY everybody! I am here now what's the emergency??" they all turned to look at me, Pidge shrieked and Shiro shook his head Keith had turned to me, took one look, then swiftly turned around I could tell he was blushing, but I swept that under the rug and smirked

 "Keith, darling, i know I'm hot but no need to-' in the blink of an eye, a knife grazed my cheek ever so slightly and hit the wall behind me. I yelped. "Don't. finish that sentence" Keith glared at me through his bangs before returning to his slouchy crossed arms position. sheesh someone's mad. I pouted "Lance zip up your jacket please?" Shiro asked politely so why not, I did as i was asked "fine i guess not everyone can handle my beauty" Keith was fuming and about to strike before he could Shiro grabbed his shoulder "Cut it off. Now princess, you needed us?"

 She nodded "yes paladins, so as you may know we are going to passing a galaxy, well i need to inform you that Coran has come to the conclusion that this will be one of the coldest spots in space. So we will have to prepare for it. let me explain why"

 She pulled up a hologram of fancy science stuff.

 "This isn't going to be like a winter in your Alaska I believe is what you call it? anyway it will be much colder! the heater won't work when passing the auraborium {what i named this random galaxy} i know how much some of you hate the cold so apologies in advance, but luckily it will only last less than 14 varga quintants!(fourteen days or two weeks if some dont understand)" She exclaimed trying to bring cheer to the sorrowed news, spoiler alert! it didn't help. there was sighs groans and murmurs from the other, I simply shrugged wanting this all to be over so I can go back to my room.

 "Now! I know it 'will be a pain but thankfully it won't be too cold as we'll only be passing by and not going through it directly. SO until then we have time to prepare! Also! Shiro has helped me and Coran come up with a system, it will get especially colder at night so we will have you all sleep-in twos. we've already decided who goes with who and Coran will be alone seeing as he's survived this before and it doesn't affect us Alteans as badly." She grabbed the list and handed it to Coran, in waiting I was nervous, sharing a room with anyone meant they would be with me, and that meant they might see my weekly breakdown or something. 

 I didn't care who I roomed with, but I can't have any of them see me breakdown. "first pair is me and shiro {not ship, they are just friends!! shiro has a fiance for goodness sakes} then Pidge and Hunk, and lastly. . . Keith and Lance" Coran announced me and Keith which quickly snapped me back to life "eh. uhm alright fine, BUT KEITH YOU BETTER NOT TOUCH ANY OF MY STUFF!" He turned to face me with this disgust look "are you kidding? wouldn't dream of it" that made me feeling better. kind of.
