Kate leaned into her apartment door pushing her key in, and I slipped my arms around her, kissing the back of her neck as she giggled, fumbling with the lock as she pushed the door open. We fell into the apartment, and I pressed the door closed behind me and then pulled Kate into me, she threw her bag and key to the floor as I pushed her back softly into the closed door. We didn't flick on any lights and the darkness of the apartment surrounded us, as our lips found each other's again as we kissed deep and hard. Both exhaling loudly when we parted but then embraced again, and I trailed my lips from her's to her jawline, planting small kisses as she moaned softly, my lips then finding her neck and I trailed small kisses down to her collarbones, her jacket still on, as I pulled the collar softly to the side. The pounding I expected to feel in my chest was now just a dull buzz, and I pulled away from Kate as she stood upright from her stance on the door, leaning into me and unbuttoning my heavy coat, and I pulled it off my shoulders as she did the same to her own. The only light in Kate's home was the glare of a streetlight coming in through one of the windows and Kate led me further into the apartment, stopping every few steps to kiss, our lips dancing together as I began to lose my breath. "You're beautiful," I whispered between kisses. "I love kissing you," Kate replied, her eyes closed as she wrapped her arms around my neck, pushing her hips towards mine and arching her body into mine. I exhaled, her tongue was soft and hot as it explored my own and I could feel the buzz of my heart, it thumped in my chest as though wanting to explode. I felt my skin flutter with goosebumps as Kate's fingers tugged softly at my hair and I pulled away briefly, wanting to look at the blonde beauty in front of me. Kate smiled, pushing me towards the back of the couch and I rested against it, Kate sliding in between my legs, her body fit perfectly and our hips connected, and our mouths found each other's again. We kissed slow, Kate murmuring between breaths, and she pushed further into me, I could feel the connection between us, as though the world had shifted, and stopped, pausing so we could have this little pice of the world as our own. Kate pulled away to look at me and I dragged my hands softly up her arms, resting them at her shoulder and then moving them to the sides of her face, dipping my head into hers, Kate closed her eyes, sighing. "Kissing you is more perfect than I imagined," she whispered, pulling her face back so we were looking at each other. "You've been imagining kissing me?" I said with a smile. Kate nodded, and I laughed softly, "I've been imagining it too." Kate smiled at me, "I wanted to make a move earlier, but I didn't.." Kate's voice trailed off, and I smiled with a little shake of my head, "It was worth the wait." Kate nodded and leaned in, our lips touching again, I'd lost count of the amount of kisses we'd shared and each one ignited a passion and desperation for Kate within me and I could feel Kate's need and want course through me with every kiss. Kate stepped away, exhaling hard, and staring at me, we just looked at each other and I could read the hunger on her face, and she bit down on her lip, "A drink," she whispered eventually, and I stood up from my lean in the couch, nodding, "Yeah," I responded, "something to cool me down." Kate laughed, reaching her hand out to me and I took it, leading her to the kitchen as she broke away from me, pulling out a couple of wine glasses from the cupboard and our wine bottle that we'd started earlier in the week. "The roof," I asked Kate, "I know it's cold..." Kate chuckled, "It's snowing babe." I nodded, "I know, and I think it magic." Kate smiled at me, pausing with the wine bottle in her hands as I picked up the glasses, "I'm happy,"'she whispered suddenly. I walked over to her, and a wave of concern rushed over her face, "You make me happy," she corrected herself, and I put down the glasses, taking the bottle from her hand and placing it on the bench, taking her hands in mine, entwining her fingers in mine. "The happiest I've been in a long time," Kate continued, looking deep into me, as if reading my emotions, connecting with them, "this week has been the happiest I've ever had." I smiled back at Kate, noticing the sprinkle of freckles she had across her nose, how some of her curls has escaped her little bun during our kisses and how her eyes were just oceans of blue, her pink lips a perfect colour, she'd never have any need for lipstick. My heart pounded, I could feel the beat in my head and I was sure this time, absolutely sure Kate could hear some sort of vibration coming from my body and through my hands, resonating through to her's. I paused, not sure what to say but wanting to say the right thing, because I felt I had so much to say. "Kate," I began, rubbing my thumbs up and down the side of our clasped hands, "I've loved every moment we've shared together the last couple of weeks. I'd like to think being in the convenience store was fate, because I don't want to think of my time here in New York playing out any differently." I paused, trying to read Kate's expression, she was just smiling, her face flushed, "I'm so happy that we crossed paths, because this is where I want to be, here, with you." Kate's face turned even more red and she smiled hard, I did too and I pulled her into me, peppering kisses into her hair and she snuggled into my arms.
We parted and collected the glasses and bottle again, heading towards the apartment door, pulling it closed behind us, Kate had picked up a blanket on the way out and we ran up the stairs to the roof. As we pushed the door open a curtain of snow was falling and it was incredible, with a thin layer of white powder covering the roof's ground. Kate called to me as she walked ahead, there was a little alcove to the side of the roof, creating a small cover where some plants sat sheltered and Kate dusted off a couple of chairs and dragged them under, and I pulled a little table across. The stars were out, dotted throughout the black blanket of sky and even though it was cold, our breath icy in the night we snuggled together undercover, the blanket warm around us, and Kate poured us a drink, and we cuddled, chatted, laughed and kissed. It was as though we'd been together like this for a lifetime, I felt some comfortable, and I could sense Kate was feeling the same way. "Will you stay?" Kate asked, looking at me with a serious look on her face, "Stay the night? With me?" I nodded, "There's no place I'd rather be," I whispered. We watched the snow fall and soon forgot about the chill in the air, and we just enjoyed being with each other, pulling the blanket tight around us as we sipped our wine and shared many kisses. It was well into the early hours of the morning before we decided to return to the apartment and with the blanket wrapped around us we returned down the stairs, being quiet as so not to disturb any other residents. Kate placed our glasses and empty bottle to the kitchen and then took my hand, leading me to her room. "I'm exhausted," she said, her words slow and a little slurred, cuddling me softly, "you think we could just hold each other tonight." I nodded, "Of course," I replied, "I'd love a quick shower first though if that's okay." Kate nodded and disappeared, returning with a towel and pointing towards the bathroom, "Help yourself to anything you need in there." I nodded, planting a kiss on her forehead, noticing how tired the blonde looked and I realised how exhausted I had began to feel. As I walked towards the bathroom, Kate called to me, bringing me a set of pyjamas and I thanked her as I walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind me, quickly striping my clothes off. I realised all I wanted was to be in bed with Kate, kissing her, loving her and I couldn't wait, but I too was okay with that not being tonight, I wanted it to be memorable, special and perfect. After a quick shower I changed and felt a lot better and warmer, and I walked back to Kate's room, she was sitting on the edge of the bed, the main light was off in the room and just a small lamp on her beside was illuminated. The woman smiled at me, and it was perfect, "Good shower?" I nodded, "You go shower Kate, you're so ready for bed." Kate nodded and sleepily headed towards the bathroom as I climbed into the bed, the sheets felt good against me and they smelled just like Kate, and I closed my eyes briefly, awaiting her return. She wasn't gone long and must have gotten her second wind because she launched herself into bed, wrapping herself around me as she planted kisses over my face, I chuckled at her as she calmed down and we faced each other. She crawled under the covers and Kate's blinking began to slow and I stroked the side of her face gingerly, leaning close to her, kissing her, and Kate let out a soft moan, making my heart begin to pound and all I wanted to do was pull her on top of me. I just held her, kissing her softly as she began to doze. It was a perfect ending to our evening and Kate moved closer to me, tucking herself into me and I put my arm around her as she nuzzled into my neck, planting kisses as she moved. I stroked her legs under the covers, feeling the electricity spark as I dragged my fingers lightly up and down her thighs and I felt goosebumps spring along her skin. I pulled her closer to me and after a few moments I felt her breath ease and settle and I knew she had given in to sleep. I let myself go too, falling asleep quickly and easily, with Kate McKinnon cuddled in my arms.
I woke with our legs and sheets tangled, Kate was still snoozing and wrapped in my arms. I ran over the night's events, bringing a smile to my face as I pulled Kate close into me. I could tell by the light outside it was easily late morning and I was hoping we could stay like this for the rest of the day. I fell asleep again and woke a few hours later, Kate had moved, her back was to me but she must have been aware I was awake and she turned to me, not saying anything just reaching for my arm which she pulled over her as I scooted close to her, my front against her back and my arm draped across her. "You sleep okay," she murmured. I nodded into her back, "Yes, you?" "Mmhmm," Kate replied, "I loved having you hold me all night." I planted a kiss into her back, "Well I loved holding you all night." "You're really corny, you know that?" Kate said and I nodded again, "I know, not one of my best traits but.." Kate laughed, "I love it, makes my heart pound when you say things like that." "You say some corny things too you know," I replied. Kate shook her head, "Maybe you just influence me?" I laughed, pulling Kate over to face me and she squealed, falling into me and kissing me hard. I pulled her close as she slid her leg between mine and we kissed long and hard, my hands reaching up and under Kate's pyjama top, and I stroked her back, her skin was soft and cool and I dragged my fingers up and down, Kate pulled away from my lips, looking at me as I continued to stroke her back loving what I was seeing right in front of me.
