A/N: This a modern setting.

Hilda smiled as she watched the group around her chatter away. It was always so worth-while to see everyone together, having fun. While Herobrine and Naues bickered with Ceris and Lance, Rain sat nearby eating popcorn.

Stella and Lyria were talking a mile a minute and it was all poor Azura could do to keep up with the conversation.

Patrick and Daryll were cracking jokes at each other while Vordus and Zeg did a half-effort at Just Dance.

Kane and Ciara hung in the back, talking quietly to each other.

Before Hilda knew it, it was nearly midnight. "Alright everybody, time to get out."

The people began to file out, thanking Hilda for the good time. As they left, she noticed the huge mess left behind. Rain's popcorn had gotten on the floor, paper plates lay scattered about, and Ciara had left several empty beer bottles in the corner.

Hogsworth paused in the doorway. "Hang on, let me help you clean up."

Hilda smiled gratefully. "Thanks. Can you grab Ciara's bottles? I'll get the vacuum for Rain's popcorn."

They began cleaning and it wasn't too long before the living room looked half-decent again.

Hilda nodded. "Thanks Hogs—" she turned around to find him passed out on the couch. She smiled a threw a blanket over him. "Goodnight, Hogsworth."

She flicked the main light off and crashed onto a nearby chair. She slowly fell asleep...

Morning sunlight fell across Hogsworth's face and he woke with a start. He sat up slightly with a surprised snort when he realized he had fallen asleep at Hilda's house. She sat on the edge of the couch at that moment, watching the news feed worriedly.

Hogsworth rubber a hand over his eyes. "What's going on?"

Hilda glances over her should at him and turned the volume up.

"Reports of a new, deadly virus, 'Covid-19' is spreading across the nation. The appearance of this virus is causing a world-wide mandatory shut-down," the news caster said. "The government requires you to stay inside your home and not to leave."

Hilda switched the TV off and looked at him. "There you go."

"So..." Hogsworth glanced around. "I'm stuck here?"

She nodded. "I guess so. Thank God I got groceries when I did."

<three months later>

Hilda had to admit, living with Hogsworth actually wasn't that bad. He was very funny and was actually a pretty good listener. Although she could tell all this Covid-19 stuff scared him, he tried to be brave about it.

The longer they lived together, the more Hilda realized how much she liked Hogsworth. As more than just a friend.

"So," he said at one point after lunch. "I'm officially bored. We've played every card game in the house and none of the good movies come on until at least seven o'clock."

Hilda shrugged. "Actually, Hogsworth, there'a been something I've been meaning to tell you."

She paused, surprised at the words coming out of her own mouth. What was she doing?

Hogsworth tilted his head. "Okay...?"

Hilda took a deep breath. There was no turning back now. "Okay, so, I've been thinking about this a lot and...well, there's something I need to confess."

"Alright."

"Hogsworth," she said slowly. "After being around you for the past three months so much, I think I've finally realized something...I...I have a crush on you."

Hogsworth stared at her, unmoving, for several minutes. Then he got up with a smile and took her hands. "Well, I'm glad you told me. We couldn't go the next couple of months with both of us carrying the same secret, now could we?" He winked. "I like you, too."

She grinned, leaned forward, and kissed him.

A/N: Over 600 words long? This has to be one of my longest one shots yet! Also, I am writing this at one AM again...what is wrong with me?
