Chapter 2: Welcome Home

Mason: "Natsuki, I am so, so sorry. I got so sidetracked with getting the house all ready for you this morning, it completely slipped my mi-"

Again, I was cut off from finishing my sentence, except this time I'm expecting some serious yelling from Natsukis' end, yet, she seems in a rather pleasant mood

Natsuki: "Mason, it's ok, really. I thought it would be funny to scare you."

I can hear her adorable little giggle on the other end of the line.

Natsuki: "Sorry I worried you so much, but you had it coming! Anyway, would you mind coming to pick me up from the airport now? I'll check out our new house in the morning, I'm super exhausted from my flight, and I want to just go home and cuddle up with ya, and maybe get some sleep if I feel like letting you go, hahaha!"

I'm just glad that she can't see my face turning red right now.

Mason: "Yeah, of course. I've been waiting to see you for so long! I'm on the way! Love you Nat!"

Natsuki: "See you soon Mason! Love you too!"

As I hang up and go to put my phone away, a sense of extreme happiness starts to swell up inside of me. It's been over a year since we've see each other face to face, and now we're going to be living together! To be honest, it's terrifying, in the good kind of way. Either way, I have no time to think about it to heavily, because I need to hurry up and get to the airport!

*.....*

As soon as I saw Natsuki, I got this immense feeling if happiness, knowing that she is here right now, right in front of me, and there was nothing in-between us. I couldn't help but run to her as fast as I could. As soon as she saw me, she dropped her bags and did the same. It almost seemed like a scene from one of those cheesy movies, except this wasn't some fake, made up scene, with fake emotions. My Natsuki is finally here with me, and nothing in the world is going to keep me from her again.

Mason: "Natsuki! I missed you so much! I'm so glad to see you!"

I pick her up and spin her through the air. It feels so good to hold her in my arms again.

Natsuki: "H-HEY! Put me down! I missed you too, but...there are people watching us..."

As I look around Natsukis' words are confirmed, as I see what seems like countless pairs of eyes on us. I put her down gently, and awkwardly try to apologize.

Mason: "S-sorry Nat, I-I don't know what came over me..."

She looks at me with a understanding, yet mischievous look in those beautiful pink eyes of hers.

Natsuki: "Hey, it's ok, and don't worry too much. We'll finish this when we get home! Hahaha."

It's so good to hear Natsukis' laugh in person again, but the way she said that last sentence has me wondering, what exactly does she has planned for when we get home?

As we finish unpacking all of Natsukis' things back home, I can see she's really nervous about something.

Mason: "What's the matter Nat? Is... something wrong?

Natsuki: "I-I'm fine, it's just a little scary moving into a whole new house, let alone a whole new country..."

Mason: "Hey, I know what that feels like, believe me. It was really nerve racking when I first came here as well, but it was even worse for me because I had to go through it alone. I promise you Natsuki, I'll be here for you this entire time, and you have the whole summer to get used to your new surroundings. I'll do anything you want to make you as happy and comfortable as possible, because I love you Nat, and I'm always going to be here for you."

Natsuki: "I-I... I really don't know what to say... except maybe... thank you Mason. I love you so much, and I'm so glad your here with me. I hope you know how much you mean to me... OH WAIT! I just remembered, I got you a little something... to show you umm... well to show you how happy you've made me... and to show you how much I love you..."

Natsuki sounded the most nervous I've ever heard her, and it got me a little worried. It also doesn't help that I didn't even think about getting her any kind of gift.

Mason: "Oh crap, Nat, I didn't even think of getting you anything. I'm so sorry... God, why do I keep screwing up today! Why am I such a bad boyfriend, even when your trying to be super nice to me..."

Natsuki: "HEY! YOU LISTEN TO ME RIGHT NOW! You aren't a bad boyfriend, and it's... it's not the kind of gift you're thinking of, so please don't beat yourself up about it, ok?"

Natsukis' words seem to make all the bad feelings in my life go away. It's one of the main things I missed about her.

Mason: "Ok, if you say so. I'll go sit in the living room and wait for your gift! You've got me pretty entrigued about it, haha."

Natsukis: "Umm, it's... not really a gift I want to give you here... I need to give it to you somewhere special... sooo... do you know any good places?"
