Hidden in its cocoon of leaves,
Petal after petal,
Each one unique,
Then the sun comes up,
A new day,
The leaves fall open,
Unveiling the beauty beneath,
The first rays of sunlight gleam through,
Making the soft pink petals radiate,
Exposed, unprotected,
In full bloom
