A pool of clear, rippling water
A reflectionA beautiful snow globe
A reflectionGazing out the window
A reflectionA round bubble floating past
A reflectionLooking into the mirror
A reflectionBut not today
The water is still and murky
The snow globe has cracked glass
The window is broken and covered in grime
All the bubbles have poppedNothing is seen in the mirror
The glass reflecting only the
Uncertainty
In her deep brown eyes
Just a distorted image
Fading as soon it comesThen she catches a glimpse of her eyes
Looking inside
HerselfThe fog clears away
Everything is shining again
All uncertainty is lost
Replaced with
Strength and happiness
