After making dinner, containing tail meat, Toru had heard the 8:30 bus with the tell tail sigh of Miss Kobayashi walking off. Her back had gotten worse recently.
Toru had a cold beer ready along with the food. She had started getting crafty with the way she would try and get kobayashi to eat it. 'If she's drunk enough maybe she'll-'
The door was kicked open.
Kobayashi ploped onto the couch and grabbed her face. A long groan and Kobayashi "FUCK!"
"FUCK FUCK GOD FUCKING DAMN IT TO HELL!" Kobayashi shouted.
"What's wrong with Miss Kobayashi?" Kanna asked hiding behind Toru. She could snap the human woman like a tooth pick but the sheer presence currently radiating from her had felt like an army of paladins looking for blood.
"Miss Kobayashi?" Toru asked.
"MOTHER FUCKING ASSHATS." Kobayashi grabbed the beer from Toru and grabbed a thumb tac.
'She's shotgunning?' Toru thought.
"I need more liquor." Kobayashi said.
"It's Tuesday." Toru said. The hard stuff was for off days.
"My work got bought!" Kobayashi shouted after finishing the bottle.
"Does that mean you don't have a job anymore?" Kanna asked.
"It means my company is gonna go through an entire new screening. Piss tests, employees interviews, fucking team building exercises. Last time this happened I went on a bender and found a dragon."
Toru eyes widened. "Wait that's why you were so drunk that night?"
"Yeah. Every time my company trades hands the new assholes try to change something. The damn place works, my efficiency is fine. Shit I already have to deal with enough shit!"
"Kanna call Saikawa and ask to spend the night." Toru said. Kobayashi didn't like swearing around Kanna. She had said it set a better example for their 'daughter' then her own parents. She only swore if it really got bad like if she fell on her back or what was currently happening...work.
"Ok." Kanna said walking over to Kobayashi.

"Get your feeling out mama. It's not good to hold them in." Kanna said hugging Kobayashi before going to grab a few clothes and a tooth brush.
Kobayashi waited till Kanna left via Toru Portal and she collapsed to lay on the couch.
Kobayashi was pulled into a hug.
"Toru please." Kobayashi said rubbing her eyes "this is such a fucking mess."
"You have options." Toru said "You told me you had offers."
"Yeah and all of them are in other cities. I'd need to portal if I wanted any sleep." Kobayashi said running a hand through her hair.
