A talk with the clan king

So this is a continuation from the first one shot I wrote, I never thought people would be so interested in my writing but I'm very flattered thank you!

I wanted to focus a little bit more on Vincent and will with this chapter. But I will continue with more Vincent and lovely interactions.

I'm wondering if I should make this a story on it's own and make a separate story for my one shots? 🤔

Vincent knocks on the wooden door, opening it as he hears a soft voice telling him to come in." hey will, you wanted to see me?". 
"Ah yes Vincent come sit, I just wanted to have a little chat and see how everything is".

"Sam is taking care of lovely right now, I figured he would be the best person to talk to since he knows their situation better than anyone...plus he owes me, his new borns used to torment me" he huffs and walks over to sit on the chair to William's left. He looked at the fireplace remembering the trip that him and lovely were on, when times were calm; he could hold them in his arms without them being in so much pain again, without the blood lust, without-

"Vincent"

He jumped slightly, he didn't realise he was caught up in thoughts. "Sorry, will I-.." he fell silent not knowing what to say. "It's okay my boy, these times are tough, you've just went through a traumatic event you're going to have so many feelings bombard you. You're not alone Vincent we will help you through this one step at a time".

Vincent smiles slightly at the comforting words will gave as he looked down at his hands. Although his words were comforting and he appreciated it a lot, many thoughts still ate away at his mind about the whole situation. "Tell me what I can do to ease some of those thoughts of yours"  the older vamp said gently to the boy, will knew he wouldn't be able to solve everything but as his maker he wanted to at least be there for him.

"I..I don't know where to start, if I'm being honest" he continues to look down at his hands. Images of that night continuing to plague his mind. "Although they said this is what they wanted, we..we had never fully talked about this, the topic was never brought up because the way their eyes lit up whenever they used their powers." He paused struggling to speak. "They were so happy, they had just finally gotten some normality in their life again. I would worry how much they would tire themselves trying to work out their power but-... but the way their face would light up with joy ;
when showing me what they had learned...

The way their brow would frown in concentration...

The shouts of glee when they finally mastered what they had been stuck on...

He exhales, letting go of a breath he never realised he had been holding. "Will, I never brought up the topic because they still had so much a head of them...did...did I really make the right decision?".

"Will...will they hate me for this?"

Will frowns, he could feel just how heart broken he was even before he starting speaking, but now that he was speaking his mind, he could see just how much his thoughts plagued his mind. This wasn't just a progeny, this is his significant other, yes it is not uncommon for vampire and humans who were wanting to be with each other for eternity to agree to do this, it still often led to many complications that Vincent, himself already knows it's a possibility.

"I can not speak for them, however from the time I have gotten to know them, and having so many pleasant conversations with them. I couldn't see them hating you for a decision that you both made". From the year he had gotten to know lovely he grew very fond of them. They mainly bonded over their love for books and sharing embarrassing stories of Vincent (much to Vincent's dislike). They had also became like a child to him.

"Although their magic may not be as strong as it once was, they would never blame you, nor hate you for something that was out of both of your control". He reaches over softly placing his hands on top of Vincent's, making the younger vampire look up at his maker. "Vincent, from the way they look at you, it always a look filled with nothing but love, this is going to have to be something that you two will have to work through, together you will make it through this".

"....thank you will, I...I really appreciate everything you've done for me and lovely". He smiles and relaxes into the chair slightly. This makes will also smile seeing his progeny relax for the first time in what seems forever.

"Now, on a more lighthearted note..I hear they've been having a fun time scaring you with their new powers" this sends Vincent into a good giggle. He shakes his head at the thoughts. "They've been times we're they've struggled and been in so much pain with adjusting to their new powers...but now that they've discovered that they can run at the speed of light they like to jump scare me whenever they get the chance...although they did run into a wall the other day, Sam healed them after my heart attack was over from worry...I'm never letting them live that one down".

William chuckles at the young vampire. "I could see you two having races outside, don't you youngsters ever get tired?". "Hey, in my defence they were the one that made the bet, I was only trying to prove them wrong, I can definitely run faster..." Vincent continues to ramble away and the elder vampire couldn't stop from smiling so widely at his progeny.

They still had such a long way to go but he knew with guidance and each other they were going to be just fine. He also knows, he just has to tease Vincent about finally proposing to them so he can finally have an in law that he can spoil the way he spoils Vincent.
