Loki was barely five years old when his home was raided by dragons. They found him in the stalls of an inn, waiting to be saved. A mysterious woman and the group of dragons took the boy and flew off to paradise in the nest of the kind alpha.

Ten years later the woman, now known as Valka, and Loki grew the nest by saving helpless dragons in need, taking care of them and providing a good life.

Pain and agony, a sense of loneliness hangs in the humid air. I nuzzled my snout against the cold metal that keeps me chained to this floating piece of wood.

It's been a few long days since I was captured, only hours after was when my captors' ship was shot, I was abandoned. Left to die in the middle of the ocean. I let out a small snarl and closed my eyes. There's no hope, I'm going to be dead meat soon. Then, in the distance I heard a loud roaring above the clouds. Later a large group of dragons, probably a whole nest, and a couple of odd looking humans flew down into the water. The dragon with the humans on its back flew towards me and landed. The humans jumped off and crouch-walked towards me slowly. I let out a low growl and closed my eyes. Suddenly I the clatter of the chain alarmed me as my eyes shot open. The first human, who I think is a woman, gestured to the other human as if to say "go on it's your turn." I looked up at the other human, who I know now it a man, and sniffed the hand he offered in front of me. He smiled warmly and said, "It's alright, you're safe now." I laid my chin to rest on his arm and purred in a way to say thank you. The dragon they arrived on walked to me and purred happily.

"Come on fellow dragon, we'll take you to safety, my name is Cloudjumper. What's yours?" The four winged dragon tilted his head to the side, expecting an answer.

"I'm Y/n. Why are these humans helping me?" He paused as if to think of an answer.

"Well because it's what they do, they help any dragon in need."
