'FOR OVER A CENTURY, I have lived in secret; hiding in the shadows, alone in the world. Until now. I am a vampire. And this is my story. I shouldn't have come home. I know the risk. But I had no choice. I have to know her.' Stefan wrote in his diary.

'Dear diary, today will be different. It has to be. I will smile, and it will be believable. My smile will say "I'm fine, thank you." "Yes, I feel much better." I will no longer be the sad little girl who lost her parents. I will start fresh, be someone new. It's the only way I'll make it through.'

'Another year, cool, today is going to be hard. Last year someone caught me doing magic in the science room, it's probably all over school by now. Hopefully he forgot and ran away. I will not be the witch of the school.'

THERE WAS two beeps outside of sienna's house, Elena and Bonnie had come to pick her up to take them to school. She quickly runs to the car and gets in the back car seat.

'Hey guys guess what, So Grams is telling me I'm psychic. Our ancestors were from Salem, witches and all that, I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it, and I'm like, put this woman in a home already! But then I started thinking, I predicted Obama and I predicted Heath Ledger, and I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands...Elena! Back in the car!' Elena was completely zoned out, glaring out of the window.

'I did it again, didn't I? I--I'm sorry, Bonnie. You were telling me that...' she looks at Bonnie, then sienna. 'Bonnie's physic now.'

She looks at sienna and then Bonnie. 'Really? Right. Okay, predict something about me then.' She says in a not not convincing tone.

Sienna was very interested, she had read her mom's old books about Salem witches and Bonnie seemed like she was messing around but if she is a witch, with some practice she could be powerful.

Bonnie starts to reply, 'I see...' something hit the windshield of the car. 'OH SHIT!' Sienna shouts from the back seat as Bonnie swerved the car. 'What was that?! Oh, my god! Elena, are you okay?' Bonnie is panicking, Elena nods but you could see the fear in her eyes. 'It's okay, I'm fine.'

'I think it was a bird it just came out of nowhere.' Sienna says, looking out of the back window.

'Really, I can't be freaked out by cars for the rest of my life.' Bonnie adjusts herself in her seat to look at both of them. 'I predict this year is going to be kick ass. And I predict all the sad and dark times are over and we are going to be beyond happy.'

As they drive away Sienna sees' the same crow on top of a road sign. 'Strange.' She mutters under her breath.

NEW GUY walks into the school, and all the girls are fan-girling over him.

'Major lack of male real estate. Look at the shower curtain on Kelly Beech' Bonnie says to Sienna and Elena. 'Have you heard about the new guy he's supposed to be a hottie.' Elena waves at Matt and he completely ignores her, 'He hates me.'

'That's not hate.' Sienna says, 'That's "you dumped me, but I'm too cool to show it, but secretly I'm listening to Air Supply's greatest hits."' She rolls her eyes at Matt and sees the blonde girl approaching them.

She pulls Elena in a tight hug, 'Elena. Oh, my god.' She looks at Bon and si, 'How are you? Oh, it's so good to see you. How is she? Is she good?'

'Caroline, I'm right here. And I'm fine. Thank you.'  'Oh you poor thing.' She hugs her again, 'Okay, see you guys later?' 'Ok, bye.' Sienna practically pushes her away.

'No comment.' Elena says when Caroline aas far enough to not hear, 'I'm not going to say anything.'

'Guys I have to go, my first lesson is in five minutes.'

'Boo stay with us!' Elena says to her, she pouts. 'Stop, you know if I could I would I'll text you when first period is over.'

They both nod their heads and Sienna starts walking, she looking at her phone so she walks right into the hot new guy. She drops all of her stuff on the floor.

'Oh deepest apologies.' He bends down to help me pick up my stuff. 'Thank you.'

He holds out his hand, 'Stefan Salvatore.' That name it sound so familiar to her. 'Sienna stone.' When her skin touched his she saw blood, murder and vampires.

She froze, 'are you ok?' She quickly snaps herself out of her trance, 'yes, we'll thank you.' He smiles and nods at her.

She quickly walks away, that's why the name was so familiar, he's a vampire.

Bonnie, Elena and Sienna were all in the same history class together, so was Stefan. As they were walking into clad they were chatting.

'Have you met the new guy yet?' Bonnie asks, 'yeah I did, he's very nice.' 'Yeah and not to mention hot.' She's trying not to say anything embarrassing, knowing about his vampirism and his super good hearing.

'Once our home state of Virginia joined confederacy in 1861, it created a tremendous amount of tension within the state. People in Virginia's northwest region had different ideals than those from the traditional deep south. Then Virginia divided in 1863 with the northwest region joining the union.' Mr. tanner explained, Sienna but couldn't help to glare over at Stefan every couple of minutes, hoping to see him staring at her.

THAT DAY, Stefan went straight home to write in his diary. 'I went for Elena, I just simply had to know her, but I'm falling for the wrong girl, I met her once and she looked very freaked when she touched me. I have a strong feeling she's a witch.'
