Journal Entry # 3 Wednesday 2016

A week passed, and PE day came around again.

We sat in social studies waiting for the Cocur bell. We'd already gone to lunch, and had recess. I hadn't yet gotten around to texting Briar, and it seemed he didn't either.

The class was very loud and chatty. I sat silent, thinking. We weren't allowed to have our phones out in class, or at all, so I couldn't text anyone or pass the time. I opened the chrome computer at our lab table, and pulled it toward me. I signed in and googled the central time clock. (We lived in the central time zone in the US). I rested my chin on my hand, leaving my elbow supporting the weight on the table, and watched the slow minutes drag by.

There was nothing, just a black void for a while, then..I fell through the air, and suddenly jolted awake in my seat. I looked at the clock on the chrome laptop. 1:45PM.

I looked up and the class was leaving out the door without me. I stumbled up fast and trotted after the line out of the classroom, heading for the stairwell. I brought up the rear of the line as we went down the steps to the right, and made a left at the bottom. As we walked down the hall, I counted twenty paces, and we made another left down a smaller hall; to where the art and drama rooms are located. One last turn to the right and we were at the entrance to the big gym. It appeared that our class was late, as Silverton was already jogging around the edge of the gymnasium.

We joined the running and got together with our friends. I caught up to Briar, and attempted conversation. "Hey." I said. "Hey.." He replied strangely. "Are you okay?" I asked. He stared at the ground as we trotted along. "I'm fine, yeah." I frowned and stared in front of me. Is this how it's supposed to be? "Okay.." I said quietly. Briar continued running, and I fell behind, slowly walking along.

Journal Entry # 4  Wednesday, 4:00pm 2016

I picked up my phone, and finally texted my boyfriend. 'Hey, it's Willow, from school-gym.' I typed. He replied quickly. 'New girlfriend right?' I glanced to the side. 'Yeah. uh.. whats up?'

We texted for five more minutes, then he just stopped replying. I sighed and set down my phone, with my notifications on.

I walked out of my room and into the living room, where my grandparents were. Grandpa was sitting in the corner of the bending couch, working. Grandma was sitting on the other end of the couch far away, doing something on her iPhone. I wandered over near the tv and switched on the PS3, picking up a controller and sitting down in front of the tv on the floor. Grandpa switched the perspective of the television from a nearby remote; I didn't know how to switch it yet. I moved the account bubble to my name, and flipped over to the games tab, and clicked on Minecraft.
