Chapter 6:
Potions and Charms

Carlos' first weeks in Hogwarts was all fun, and confusing, he'd wish to spend more time with harry but couldn't, so Theodore along with Blaise and Draco cheered him up and making him forget about harry for a while.

Their time tables was making carlos upset since they'd only have two subject with the gryffindor which is Potions and DADA, every Monday they'd have herbology with the ravenclaws, after that is charms with ravenclaws again, after eating they'd have history of magic with the hufflepuffs, which is the most boring class ever! After this class is transfiguration with hufflepuffs again. This got carlos wondering on why they'd spend class with Ravenclaws and Hufflepuff but not Gryffindor.

On tuesday just herbology, and what Carlos has been waiting for, DADA with the gryffindors, but he still couldn't get to talk to harry since Theodore's always pulling him to sit next to him, just so he can ask carlos stuffs. After that would be lunch, and transfiguration and finally Charms.

Wednesday was an interesting event, having professor Snape teaching potions after the DADA class with professor quirrell,

Carlos was sitting in-between malfoy and Nott, and professor Snape entered robes swinging Dramatically, the room was quiet, he's got this similar aura professor McGonagall have, he can make everyone shut up with zero effort.

"There will be no foolish wand waving or silly incantations in this class." He stated sternly "As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion making. However, for those select few..." He looked at draco who smiled, "who possess the predisposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper..." He made a dramatic pause "in death." Draco raises his eyebrows, Theo leaned back, probably not interested, but not carlos, after hearing those thing from Snape, he'd found Potions fascinating, he was engrossed of the thought that by just making potions could save a life, he thought Potions was a bit more interesting than transfiguration or Charms. And Potions was one of the subject Carlos had been thrilled to learn, he's been reading a lot of potions book.

Snape saw Harry, who's writing what Snape said in his lecture down, but in his view, harry was not paying attention. "Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confidant enough to not...pay...attention."

Hermione nudges Harry, finally making him look up to the Professor. Snape then walks to where he can speak to Harry more properly.

"Mr. Harry Potter. Our...new...celebrity. Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?

Hermione raises her hand, And looks like Draco, Blaise, and Carlos also knew the answer, since they're faces says so. Harry shrugs.

"You don't know? Well, let's try again. Where, Mr. Potter, would you look if I asked you to find me a bezoar?"

Carlos was a bit disappointed, he'd been talking all about potions with harry at home, he knew harry forgets stuffs but just couldn't help but wonder if he even listened to what he said.

Hermione's hand raises again, which was ignored, Again.

Harry turned to ron hoping he'd help him but it looks like they we're both clueless "I don't know, sir." Said harry with a shrug

"And what is the difference between monkshood and wolfbane?" The professor asked again.

"I don't know, sir."
