She stood on the balcony looking at the stars that seemed to shine their twinkling light onto the warm tears rolling down her cheeks. His words of departure echoed in her head as she remembered their last kiss several years ago before he left for the war. Patience, she had plenty of it no matter how long 'till he would come back she would wait. Days. Weeks. Months. Years. For she loved him for so long, since the beginning in fact. She clutched the picture of him close to her along with the letter she had been given stating he passed on in the war. She'll wait until it's her time to go to the world above in the sky so high where he awaited her.
*Flashback*
"Will you wait for me?" He asked her while taking her hands in his and intertwined their fingers. "Of course I will" she cupped his cheek gently. He smiled and kissed her lovingly she kissed back happily yet sadly for this may be their last kiss. The kiss was interrupted by the honking of the truck, ready to pick him up. He pulled away slowly and spoke against her lips "You promise that you'll wait for me?" She looked into his eyes "I promise." He smiled and took hold of his duffel bag, the truck honked again he looked at the door then back at her "I love you" he pecked lips then walked towards the door and opened it "I love you too" she walked outside with him. He smiled back at her as he plopped his bag in the back and got in the open seat, several other men sitting around him. She teared up as she watched the truck begin to drive off. She watched it until it was out of sight then walked back inside and burst into to tears and began sobbing for him.
*End of Flashback*
It had been so long since she'd seen him, touched him, kissed him. About two weeks after he left the letter was sent stating his death. Bombed along with his comrades. She looked back up at the navy blue sky, at the glistening stars that seemed to be like one big happy family. 'Mocking my loneliness I see..I'll you all one day.' She thought. 'For he who waits for love is destined to find one so dear, so I'll be patient, I'll let time fly by, I'll grow old, I'll wait.'
