Chapter six

"Knock, knock," Mom was outside my door, usually she doesent wake me up on a Saturday. I groaned and shoved my head under my pillow.

 "Katherine?" Mom asked.

 "Whaaaat...," I moaned. I glared at the clock, 6:39 A.M.

 "I wanna take you somewhere to see some horses," Mom said soothingly behind the door.

 "What's the point, if I am not going to buy one, Mom?" This is totally not the way I want to wake up. Mom came in my room.

 "I just thought you might want to be with the horses," Mom sat on my bed and stroked my back. She was right, it would be nice to actually be with horses. "I thought I might take to to a horse auction, so ou can pet them when they are in the pens." I grunted again. 

 "What time is the auction?" I turned to face her.

 "9:00" I sighed.

 "Yeah, I will go." Mom grinned and patted my head like a puppy.

 "Good, but remember, no buying, we are just looking," She said before she left. I pulled the covers above my head.

 "I hear you,"
