*Elizabeth's POV*
Soaking in the rain, I woke up slowly. I couldn't deny this feeling that someone had been watching me. I was about to get up to investigate but before I could, I heard the beep of a horn. It was my cab. I sluggishly walked into the Cab. "Rainy night isn't it miss..." the cab driver exclaimed. "oh yes – very rainy" I whispered, so he wouldn't recognize my voice.
"Where to?" he asked. "Oh great. Why don't I ever remember the street names." I sighed. "Ugh – Liberty Street." I finally answered. That was one street before the Castle, so that way no one would be suspicious.
*15 minutes later*
I tipped the cab driver and walked out into the street, still covering myself with my jacket which at this point was practically useless. I shivered in the cold; my fingers shaking. I was alone, and I could barely feel my limbs. It was pitch dark, freezing cold and the rain was pouring like crazy. I knew that I shouldn't be alone in the cold, knowing that my soon to be spouse was probably worried sick. I just wanted answers...... I was the one who made all the people of my kingdom move to Scuttle because of a mysterious earthquake that happened a year ago. It felt like my fault.... I felt like I wasn't the good person I thought I was. The pressure was getting to me and I began to sway as I kept walking. I swayed even more and became dizzy. I couldn't see properly, everything was blurred. I tried to shake myself out of this daze but it didn't work and I felt myself hit the ground with a thud – just before everything went black.
*Nightmare*
Holden and I interlocked hands, smiling at each other and gazing into each other's eyes. "So why did you bring me to a park, Holden?" Elizabeth asked. "Today's a special occasion," he smiled, fixing his tux and his hair. Before I could ask him anything more, he got down on one knee and held out a small black box. I covered my mouth in shock, holding back tears. "Elizabeth, you're the most extraordinary girl in my life. You're kind, selfless, beautiful and just the most amazing person I have ever met. Will you make me the happiest man in the world and Marry me?" he asked, smiling at her, with so much love in his eyes. I gasped, holding back tears. "I – I – Yes! Yes, yes, yes!" I cried as he slipped the beautiful diamond ring onto my finger. He twirled me around and his soft lips touched mine for a few seconds. I looked at him, in shock and disbelief that I was finally his Fiancé! "I love you." I whispered. "I love you more." He answered and kissed my forehead lovingly. Just then, as we were twirling through the fields, we heard couples all around us screaming and running. We stopped our romantic dance for a moment and finally saw the monster everyone was running from. It was a hideous beast, at least 8 feet tall, covered in broken hearts, and arrows all over it's body. I screamed for my life and as I tried to get away, the creature picked me up. I yelled. "HOLDEN!" I squirmed, trying to get out of the monster's grip. It dropped me, and I felt myself falling down a black hole.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Elizabeth yelled, waking up from her nightmare, but she wasn't on the cold streets of Narwania anymore, she was at home, in her own room. She held her head, almost wanting to faint but before she could, she was startled by her fiancé next to her. She gasped, almost dying for a second. "Calm down." He shushed her, placing his finger on her lip, to calm her down. "You're safe now." He said, kissing her softly. "I – I – I'm home?" she stuttered. "Yeah," he smiled. "I was really worried for you. The rest of the palace was already asleep, but of course, I wasn't. I had to say that you went to bed early, and since everyone knows how cranky you get when you don't sleep, no one dared go to your room." He laughed. But Elizabeth didn't laugh, she wore that little pout on her face which she always had when something was wrong. "What's wrong?" he asked. "What – Uhh nothing's wrong" she lied. "I can see it on your face..."
Darn that pout! She thought. "What were you doing out so late at night? I was really worried." He asked again. She pouted again. " I'd rather not talk about it –" "Alright. But when you're ready, I'm always here for you." He looked at her with the look. "You got the look on..." she teased. "What look?" he asked, totally unaware. "The I love you look," she answered. "Well it is true –" he answered her. She blushed a little, and kissed him softly. "I better be getting dressed now, before Mom and Dad think a ghost grabbed me," they laughed.
He left and Elizabeth got changed. She was wearing something casual, it was a white cropped t – with a pink skirt that cut a little above her knee. Holden was already downstairs with the rest of the family. They all exchanged pleasantries and ate their breakfast going over the misfortunate events of the day before. Elizabeth sighed, wanting to bang her head on the table with frustration. "You do know, Elizabeth that this wedding must go perfectly. We don't want anything happening." Holden's mom said. She began to feel more like it all of this was her fault. "Mom..... It's not like any of this is her fault. Don't be so hard on her," he said, squeezing Elizabeth's hand. She looked up at him and smiled, mouthing the words thank you. "You do have a point, Helda. It may not be Elizabeth's fault as Holden said but, we must make sure that this wedding goes smoothly. The kingdom is counting on us." Her father chimed in. Elizabeth sighed, getting up and leaving the table, dragging Holden with her, and smiling sheepishly. "What has you so riled up? You almost killed me just now," Holden laughed. "It's just – I wish that I could take a break from all of this.... I'm trying to be a perfect Queen, role model, Fiancé and the perfect daughter for my mom and dad. Isn't that a lot?" Elizabeth yelled, getting riled up. "Great! I'm ranting again aren't I?" she asked, looking down. "Liz. You know I love you. You can rant for ages, and I will never get tired of your beautiful voice." He said, raising her head up. She blushed. "You sure know how to make me blush. How do you do it.... You barely blush yourself!" she pouted. "It's in my nature I guess." He shrugged. "But you know what I mean right – Isn't this just a lot. I'm truly considering that we should just get eloped and run off." She got an idea in her head. It wasn't such a bad idea. Holden looked at her. "Don't you dare! You're thinking that that's a good idea aren't you! Liz, you know we can't do that. What about all the royals who are counting on us?" he tried to convince her. "How do you manage to give such good advice?" she said cheekily. "Again, it's in my nature," he laughed and kissed her gracious little head. "Try to reflect on this whole situation. Think on the bright side," he reminded her and left the room for her to do so. She smiled to herself, and did what he suggested. Later on, she came out of her room, to see that no one was downstairs. Everyone was in their own rooms. She knocked on Holden's door and he let her in. He smiled. "Bored too huh?" he asked. "Yup! She replied blankly. He plopped himself back on the bed, and Elizabeth sat down next to him, asking what game he was playing. "Force Strike 1. I grew up with it." "Really! I love that game. You better watch out, I'm practically a pro." She smirked. "We'll see about that," he laughed, handing her a controller. She took it out of his hand, and they started the game. Elizabeth picked her character, the girl had long black hair and a war outfit and was armored with guns. Holden picked his character, and the game began. "This stupid game!" she yelled. "Having trouble?" he teased. She laughed "I think so, don't you!" He paused the game and went to practice mode. He gave her the controller and she placed her hands on it, soon after her fiancé's hands were placed softly on hers. She blushed a little "Isn't there an off switch on this thing!" she sighed. Holden blushed a little as well, smiling at her and kissed her for a brief moment. Elizabeth was shocked for a moment, but then relaxed into it and smiled. He looked at her and then showed her how to work the controls and play the game. By the time Elizabeth knew how to play the game, she was on a winning streak. She jumped for joy at beating Holden for the second time. "You're getting good," he said. "O – oh, you think so," she said, trying to catch her breath from her previous antics. After that, the two got really tired and fell asleep, both their heads lying gracefully on each other's. And then -
