VOL 1 Ch 4 - The awaited day, 1st May.

Asuka's POV

I did my daily routine of getting up early and going on jogging for 5 lapses. Just like the 2nd day, barely anyone was paying attention. This continued and the teachers didn't say anything. As the days passed by, my excitement kept rising. Also, I exchanged contact infos with basically everyone, so there's that fir making friends. Though they can't be called friends, it's still progress.

It was now April 30th. It was only one more day till the reveal. I was way too excited. Chabashira-sensei walked into the class as usual.

"We'll be having a surprise test today, so put your books away." The class went into an uproar. Many were panicking at thought of doing a surprise test. Ofcourse, More than 90% haven't been studying, so it's an actual concern if they would pass of not.

"That's unfair, Sae-Chan-Sensei!" Ike cried out. "You can't suddenly spring a test onto us!" It was kind of funny to hear him say those things. But it was a routine to hear him say stupid things every day, and he was in the 'idiot trio' with Yamauchi and Sudou.

"Ofcourse I can. You're all students, you must be prepared for things like this." Chabashira-sensei's answer was sharp and easy to understand. "However, the Mark's of this test will not be reflected in your final grades. So you can take it easy."

The class sighed in relief. But I had other plans. I was planning to atleast use 90% of my capabilities in academics and atleast be in the top ten, if not the first. I wanted to show that I wasn't an actual idiot, so that when all hell breaks lose tomorrow, I would have proof that I had a brain to figure the school's plan out.

Also, why was the test today specifically? Is there a special reason? If there was, it was probably related to the S-system's revelation and giving the students a reality shock that they would've failed if this was a midterm or an actual test.

The test were passed out.I said fuck it and just will get 97 marks. This will definitely place me in the top 5. I got my answer sheet. I read it all and it was

Garbage. It was too easy. If someone gets bad marks on this, then I have no idea how they even passed the entrance exam.

I continued to write the answers while skipping the easy ones. I already calculated how many questions I would need to do, and I only needed some easy answers as their aren't that as many hard questions as easy ones. I gave my paper at around 42 minutes after the test started. It wasn't too early, but not too late either. I left the class and went for a stroll. After some time, I went back to my room, made food, ate it, and slept.

I woke early like the last four weeks, did my routine and left for class. I checked my mobile to see the number of points, and voila! It didn't increase at all! I currently had 73,785. Most of the money was spent on tea, don't ask why. Anyways, I was way too excited for the calamity that was gonna come today."I can't wait to see their faces!"

I opened the door and lo and behold, the class was a dumpster fire. Many were gloomy, ike and Yamauchi were complaining by screaming that they didn't get any points. I sat in my desk and was waiting for sensei to enter the class. The bell rang, sensei walked in just like every day, but the difference was that she had a grim look on her face.
