Chapter 6 (Pretending)

"Don't tell anyone." Johnnie begged looking at you. "I'm trying get better. I really am but they don't need another problem. Anyway, it's not that bad."

You glanced down at his desperate face.

"Fine." You sighed. "But why?"

"Only if you tell me why you do it too." Johnnie bargained.

"Fine." You said again and flopped down on the bed next to him. "When I was younger I was bullied a lot and when I was in sixth grade I started cutting because I heard it helped. But soon I was addicted. The past couple years I've been depressed, lonely and everything seems so pointless."

Johnnie reached over and pulled you into a hug, crushing you against him.

"Johnnie! (Y/N)! Wake up!" Bryan yelled opening your door. Then he saw you in Johnnie's embrace. "Please don't fuck right now, Jordan and I want you to meet some people." He teased.

"We weren't fucking." Johnnie retorted turning red. "Who do you want us to meet?"

"Some people." Bryan replied in a sing-song voice. "Come downstairs and find out."

You and Johnnie disentangled yourselves and got out of bed.

"I'll tell you later." He said pulling you into another bone crushing hug. "Thank you for telling me about it. You are very brave. Don't forget that, okay?"

"This isn't the fucking fault in our stars Johnnie" You mumbled into his shoulder, hugging him back.

He laughed. "Okay...whatever you say."

"Okay." You replied smiling into his shoulder.

"I told you not to fuck right now." Bryan groaned opening the door again. He grabbed your's and Johnnie's hands and lead you out into the front room.

There were two girls there. One of the girls had blue hair and her eyes were a warm brown. She smiled when she saw you.

"I'm Destiny." She said. "Bryan's a good friend of mine. Nice to meet you."

She seemed nice, you hoped you could get to be good friends with her. You looked at the other girl. She had black hair that faded into purple. Her eyes were a striking blue with an interesting ring of purple around her irises.

"Hi. I'm Autumn but my friends call me Liz!" She said. "You must be (Y/N)! And Johnnie! So happy to finally meet you! I've heard so much about you."

She looked up at Jordan. That's when you noticed. Noticed that this girl was holding hands with your cousin.

"You're Jordan's girlfriend." You stated bluntly.

You felt betrayed for some reason. You knew you should be happy for Jordan but instead you felt a strange disliking for this girl who held his hand.
