It was hard to find things to do in Goiky. It was essentially an empty plain that was occasionally broken up by an uncommon building or landmark. The Bathroom Plaza was just a bathroom, Gelatin's Steakhouse was closed thanks to a distinct lack of Gelatin, and nobody was allowed into Golf Ball's Underground Factory without GB's permission.
To make a long story short, Naily was bored out of her mind.
She sat at the edge of the cliffside that she liked to visit when she wanted to think. It was the same cliffside from the challenge in BFB where they all flew around in paper airplanes. She'd loved that challenge. She'd enjoyed any time that she got to spend with Team Ice Cube (still wasn't fond of the name, though). Her team on BFB hadn't been perfect, but it'd been hers. She liked it, with all of its little imperfections. She enjoyed laughing whenever Firey Jr. would mess with Spongy, or whenever Geltain performed some wild antics that would raise Donut's blood pressure. She even missed the quiet moments, like when she, Bomby, and Barf Bag would sit at this very cliffside and just talk with each other.
And now she was on the Blue Team, and she was...unhappy
Unhappy may have been the wrong word. She just didn't like the fact she had no choice in making her team as Two had had them randomized. Now she was stuck with Fries and Clock (two people she already didn't like), Bottle and Pillow (two people that weirded her out), and the other members of the Union.
Naily sighed at the thought of the alliance she'd inadvertently found herself in. It seemed like a good idea after she'd found out about the pyramid that had been made, but she was so angry that she probably would've said anything to get back at their team leaders. Tree just happened to come up with something first.
The Union wasn't what she thought it would be. She thought it would be about keeping the members of the Blue Team equal, but Tree had turned it into a campaign to try and get Fries and Clock eliminated. Pin and Tennis Ball had attempted to reason with Tree by telling him it was the voters who decided who got eliminated, but Tree had explained that they could help the process along by "helping" the Blue Team get up for elimination.
That was sabotage, and that wasn't something Naily signed up for.
She didn't want to be around the Union and she didn't want to be around the rest of her team, so that left her by herself, but that made her bored. All she could do was wait around for Two to start the next challenge.
"Are you okay?"
The sudden voice coming from behind Naily startled her. She jumped and whipped around, but immediately calmed down when she saw who it was.
"You shouldn't sneak up on people like that, TB."
Tennis Ball gave Naily an apologetic smile, "Sorry. I just wanted to check up on you."
Naily frowned, "Tree didn't send you, did he?"
TB shook his head, "No. Honestly, I wanted to get away from him, myself." he admitted.
"I just don't get why he's still so worked up!" Naily complained, "I mean, I was angry, too, but I calmed down! Coiny and Pin did, too! I don't even think Pin was ever mad!"
"She wasn't."
Naily groaned loudly and collapsed onto her side, "TPOT isn't turning out at all like I thought it would."
Tennis Ball sighed and sat down next to the nail, letting his feet dangle over the cliffside. "I get what you mean," he said, "it's been weird, but in a hard way for me to explain. It's like...the game's been entirely out of our control." he tried to explain.
