Here's the final chapter! This was definitely the hardest to write. I hope you enjoy!

The coarse gravel crunched under Mon-El's boots as he, J'onn, and the two Karas entered the fortress. He didn't know what he was expecting when Kara's future self told them about the place, but this certainly wasn't it.

From the outside, the Worldkiller's fortress looked somewhat like a jagged crystal, with pointed, stone pillars sticking out from every direction. Its location in the barren desert only added to the aura of menace.

Inside, the walls were made of the same rough black rock as the exterior, forming a cave-like appearance. A staircase in the back presumably led to more chambers. There was a glowing red-and-black control panel in the corner with symbols akin to the ones in the Fortress of Solitude, but that was where the similarities ended. In the middle of the room the jagged rock made some sort of bowl formation, like an empty fire pit. Ominous. Guess home court advantage is off the table, Mon-El thought grimly.

Purity was standing in front of the pit with her back to them as she chanted in Kryptonian, her raspy, echoing voice bouncing off the walls. He noticed she was no longer clad in Julia's clothes, the red sweater and jeans replaced by a dark uniform similar to Reign's. Mon-El had a feeling that when she turned around he would see that menacing skull-shaped glyph filling the space on her chest.

As if she could read his thoughts, Purity turned to face them and smiled darkly, her iris-less pupils fixed on them like a predator to prey. "If you've come back for more, I guarantee it will be your last battle."

Future Kara stepped forward, glaring at the Worldkiller as she spoke fiercely in her native tongue. ".adives Rao w rraop .adives khuhp w rraop ;zov kehgieru sufah khuhp w rraop" (Rao defies you—I defy you, and I will take you down)

Purity leered at her. "Brought a sister with you, I see? I have one, too." She tilted her head to the ceiling, and they followed her gaze just as a mighty crash tore through the fortress and Reign landed in their midst, rubble raining down around her.

"A hundred of you would not make a difference," she snarled. Her voice was unlike anything Mon-El had ever heard before; multiple pitches and voices colliding and knocking into one another in a way that made his eardrums curl up and beg to die.

"Soon the Trinity will be complete, and we will rain chaos on your world." With that, the battle began. By some unspoken agreement, J'onn and Kara sped over to take on Purity, while Mon-El and Future Kara faced off against Reign.

Before Reign could make a move, Future Kara threw a punch at her face, which she dodged. Aiming a hit to Kara's ribs, she knocked her back a few feet and turned her sights to Mon-El. He attempted to kick her, only to have Reign grab his leg and yank him off balance. This was starting to seem impossible. She was faster, stronger, more ruthless than any individual he'd ever encountered before. No wonder she almost killed Kara.

Before he could so much as flinch, Reign swung her fist toward Mon-El, and what might've been a lethal blow was prevented by red material wrapping around her wrist. Kara. When had she learned how to do that? "Now," she mouthed, and he knew exactly what she meant. Lunging forward, Mon-El trapped her other wrist with his cape. He and Kara pulled diagonally in opposite directions, and Reign slammed into the gravel-covered floor.

Their eyes met briefly and she smiled, looking a bit breathless. The spell was broken when Reign swept her legs into Kara's, knocking her to the floor and sending her crashing into the cave wall with a kick. Mon-El got a few hits in, but they seemed to have little to no effect on Reign and he ended up on the ground next to Kara.
