2. Preparing to be a bride

"Hurry up and get off the carriage! "My stepsister snarled at me as the carriage stopped in front of large black gates that had been left open.

"Please don't let me marry him, Dad. "I begged my father, reaching out to hold his hand.

"Get off the carriage."My father said coldly before he pulled his hand away.

Seeing his behavior brought tears to well up in my eyes, he acted as if I wasn't his daughter.

I nodded before grabbing a small trunk containing a few of my clothes.

"Y/N" My stepbrother called me as I opened the carriage door.

I turned my head to look at him.

"Don't forget to bring your painkillers."My stepbrother said as he leaned back against the seat.

"Why should I take painkillers?"I asked, frowning.

"Because I've heard that vampires always have violent sex, I'm afraid you'll get hurt."My stepbrother sneered.

"Go to hell! "I cursed him before rushing off the carriage.

My stepbrother raised his eyebrows and closed the carriage door.

"You must be Ms. Y/L, right?"A man's voice asked as my family's carriage moved.

I quickly turned around to look at him.

He was an old, kind, and well-dressed man. I assumed he was the head butler of this manor.

"Yes, I'm Y/N Y/L, "I said and smiled at him.

"Y/N?"He muttered my name with a slightly puzzled look on his face.

"You think I'm Scarlett, right? I'm not Scarlett, but I'm Evan's other daughter."I stated.

"Oh... "A smile slowly appeared on his face again.

I believe he didn't know I was Evan's daughter, he only knew Scarlett.

"So what do I have to do next?"I asked.

"You have to go take a bath and get dressed to prepare for the wedding."The head butler replied.

"Will the wedding take place today?"I asked slightly shocked.

"Yes, Mr. Malfoy wants the wedding to take place by today at night."The head butler said.

"Oh, wouldn't it be too soon?"I asked.

"It was Mr. Malfoy's need."The head butler smiled.

I nodded.

"Then I'll take you to the maid to help you bathe and dress for you."The head butler stated.

I nodded and smiled at him before he turned around and led me toward the manor.

On my way to the manor, I looked around to explore.

This place was very vast, occupying several acres, there are many types of trees here and there are many flowers of many colors and different species...But no matter how beautiful the colorful flowers were, they could not hide the gloomy and awe-inspiring atmosphere of the manor.

The atmosphere of this manor was inexplicably gloomy, with a faint mist, and I could sense a strange cold all the time.

"Ms. Y/L"

"Yes," I shifted my gaze from looking around the manor and looked at the head butler instead.

"You can go inside. The maids will help you bathe and get dressed." The head butler said as we arrived at the large door of the manor.
