By the time Shouto went downstairs, it was dinner time. He didn't know what to expect. Everyone here gave him looks and acted strange. Maybe he was just different. Maybe he was just overthinking, not uncommon for someone like him.
He walked into the common room, seeing the girl with pink cheeks and the girl with black hair in a ponytail sitting at one of the tables. Aizawa, who was beside him, said he would get introductions when he joined class.
Shouto watched as the pink cheeked girl made a water balloon float. He heard something about a prank, whatever that was. But he also noticed that her elbow seemed to move differently. He walked over to her. She looked up at him and her eyes widened. She gave a nervous smile and waved.
"Have you dislocated your elbow?" Floaty- as Shouto decided to call her- seemed shocked.
"Y-yeah. I have. How did you know?"
"When you bent your arm, your elbow seemed to move out of place slightly. Did you relocate it on your own?" When Floaty shook her head, Shouto sighed and sat down next to her. He held out his hand and watched as Floaty laid her arm in his hand.
Shouto moved her arm up and down, stretching it out, rotating her arm in his hand. "Whoever relocated it did a shitty job." He let go of her arm. "You should try stretching it occasionally. More than you do in your hero training. If it gets dislocated again, don't let anyone but a professional relocate it. Whoever did it last time was not a pro and could have messed it up."
He stood and turned away before he saw Floaty nod and began to walk to an empty table. He sat down, Aizawa beside him, and watched the others in the room. His hands were under the table, scratching at each other's palms, the gloves making a rubbing sound. Shouto's shoulders folded into his chest, his eyes swiveling between every person in the room. Cautious, nervous, analytic.
He watched the two he deemed Sparky and Sharky or Rocky and Shocky as they spoke with each other, watched Sparky mess with the remote he was holding, trying to find out how to turn the TV to put the two's game on the screen.
He watched Leafy Lettuce walk in through the door with the Blasty Boy. Watched as they both headed up the stairs, presumably to their rooms. He watched the DJ girl walk over to Floaty and Crafting Table. He watched as Zoom Zoom Man walked over to him, before coming to a stop. Shouto cringed at everything he noticed.
First, Zoomy was super stiff, most likely an authority figure for this class, same as Crafty. Second, he noticed the scars that Zoomy had from pulling out his engines. Shouto had done some research. Apparently the entire Iida Family did that so Zoomy must be a part of that family. Next, he noticed how Zoomy seemed to frown deeply in his presence without actually frowning. More things, although minor, were glaringly obvious. First, Shouto knew he was about to bow but instead didn't, watched as Zoomy slightly leaned forward before straightening. He also saw Zoomy's hand curl slightly into a fist.
"I am Iida Tenya. I believe it is my job as this class' president to introduce myself." Well at least Shouto was right about an authority figure. "However, I know that the League of Villains was associated with Stain. I know tha–"
"The League wasn't exactly 'associated' with Stain. Shigaraki hated Stain. He was used as a distraction so that the League could make bigger plans. Looks like it worked, if Blasty Boom Boy's trauma is anything to go by."
"Stain nearly killed my brother. He can no longer be the hero he once was."
"At least your brother is alive. Your 'heroes' killed mine. Without cause, too. We were planning to surrender anyway. So fuck heroes. The only heroes I respect are ones like All Might because he actually cared for the civilians and not the media or his ego like my father. And Underground Heroes that don't give a shit about the media at all. I know your brother was and still is a better hero than most. However, because I have never met him in person and I despise most heroes because of what some have done to me, I can not say that he is a great hero."
